Fitting in Seven dwarfs mine train

I am pooh size, with most of the extra weight in my thighs, hips and bum. Very, very pear shaped.
I was nervous about fitting, and when the car pulling up and I saw it, I was even more nervous, it looks VERY small.

My #1 suggestion and I know it has been brought up before, but DO NOT pull the lap bar all the way down. I only brought it down so it barely went over my knees, the bar still locked into place and the CMs never even gave it a second look.

Was it tight??? YEP, but not so much where I would not ride it again.
In fact we ended up riding it 4x on our trip. Each time remembering to being the lap bar just a tad down until it was locked.

As far as comparing it to EE, EE has MUCH more room. I never felt tight on EE,so it is definitely built differently.

But those that are pooh size, don't be nervous to give it a try. It might not be the most comfortable but it is NOT unbearable!

I was really worried, too, because I'm also bottom heavy. I didn't feel the least bit cramped & was surprised since I've heard so many people say how tight it is. I didn't find it uncomfortable and you don't have to pull the bar down very far at all. I saw men & women MUCH bigger than myself riding it as well. It's really not as bad as some people have made it out to be.

Encouraging!!! Thinking DH and I should be able to ride after all. At least to try it once! Might have waited it out but DDs still like us to ride with them. - even though they are old enough to ride alone. Definitely want to keep that pixie dust as long as we can!!

I am 5'2" and weigh 325lb. My shirts are 5x, men's 4x. My pants are 4x-5x depending on brand and I had no trouble getting in this ride!!!

Here's what I did. Paired up with a gentleman that was a bit taller, but normal build. I asked him to go in first. I thought it would be easier for me to be last one in and first out and not to climb over a seat. worked great.

Listening to the advice I didn't pull the lap bar down all the way. It was snug, but not even remotely bad. I didn't feel like a sardine or anything, maybe because I am shorter but my legs had plenty of room. hips didn't hurt on the sides either. (and trust me with my size - see pants size above- I have plenty of hip)

the cast members didn't even bat an eye at my size.

the ride was fun and getting out was easy. I did see others on there that were my size. I saw one larger lady get off and that is what spurred me to try. thank heavens I did, I loved the ride, probably because I fit after all that worry!

IASW was actually way more uncomfortable believe it or not, could not find the right place for my legs on that one.

So please try this ride, you won't be disappointed!!!!

I just ride this ride a few days ago. I wish I had read the advice to not pull the lap bar down all the way before I rode. I hurt during this ride. My legs had small bruises on the side of them. It was super tight. Will I ride it again? I'm not sure....

It seems to me that this thread can END right now. PLENTY of pooh sized people have posted their stats- even pictures- and have been able to ride. While it might not be the most comfy- it seems to me that 99.9% of people CAN ride and this issue has been overblown.

I heard a quote tonight on the Big Brother update feeds LOL, something like "you can't dance with the pretty girl if you don't ask". Well my size 26, 5' 1" little big self is dancing with those Dwarves in Sept and I can't wait!

You will never see any of those people in that line ever again in your life. I've never seen anyone do the walk of shame where someone in the line makes fun, maybe it happens, but so what, it's seconds out of your life that you might hear someone make fun of your fat. They can't shame you or make fun of you after you walk out of that ride. Cowgirl up, you're in Disney, the happiest place on earth, live it up. Just go for it!

My friend/co-worker was at WDW last week and she is about 5'4" or 5'5" and probably wears a size 28ish (her t-shirt order at work was for a Lands End size 4X) . She is heavier in the hips and rear. She was turned away from the ride and was utterly humiliated. She says she wont ever go back to WDW. I feel terrible for her. I hope we see a change in seat configuration happen. There are a lot of larger people at WDW that are going to be embarrassed if they don't address it.

This is the problem. "Most" women carry their weight in their *** and hips LOL. Like myself.

The cars/lap bar combo do look uncomfortable. I guess I'll find out in September :/ So disappointing that Disney would do this.

He won't even attempt some rides, like mission space bc of the console coming towards you and rubs up against knee or rnr because of the bar that comes down and crushes his shoulders. Who has ridden this ride with this size? I don't want him to get up there and be embarrassed if he didn't fit or be uncomfortable that he is hurting the rest of the day. (that happened on IASW, when they put all 5 of us in a row, which is ridiculous when the rest of the boat was empty-I never understood this concept of loading.)

My husband is 6'5" and 230 pounds and wears a size 13 shoe and he said it was a tight fit for his knees (pressing on the seat in front of him.) He also has a lot of problems with bench seat rides because he has to sit sideways in the seat due to his knees not fitting. We rode POTC and they filled our row and he was in so much pain because he couldn't turn sideways. Needless to say, though, he did ride 7DMT twice, it just wasn't very comfortable.

6'6" here. The key for tall folks on RnR is to select an odd numbered row...1,3,5,7,9,11. You can slouch/slide down in the seat a lot more than the even rows, thereby lowering your shoulders more.

Just my two cents on this - we just came back last week and my DH - who is 6 feet, 325 pounds - couldn't even fit in the seat. He couldn't even ride. I guess it all depends on where on your body you carry your weight.

I'm hoping that Disney might redesign the seats at some point as he had no trouble with any other ride he went on - RnR, Splash Moutain, BTMRR, Space Mountain, etc.

I am 6'3"+ almost 6'4. I weight close to 400lbs. My weight is evenly distributed if that makes sense

I have NEVER had an issue on any Disney ride, never even been uncomfortable. That being said I rode SDMT yesterday and it was super uncomfortable. Verging on Painful. Bars on side of legs were the problem. squeezed me so tight i had red marks lol. Not pulling the bar down as far might help but it was still crazy tight. Advice would be to have empty pockets and not bulky pants as well.

On a side note I cannot fit in Universal coaster rides.

I'm 5'11" or 6' and 185 pounds. I rode 7DMT a couple days ago and my knees were basically forced together because of the lap bar. The hard, contoured space for your butt is also very small, even for someone with an average build like myself. My wife is about 5'6" and 110 pounds and even she was a bit uncomfortable.

I imagine for someone that is bigger than me whether taller or wider, it would be very uncomfortable, or borderline impossible.

I don't remember the seat itself being to small. Maybe the legs were just forcing me to not notice. I'll check again in a couple weeks when i return.

My husband is 6'4", about 230, and he said he was pretty uncomfortable on the ride. The kids didn't like it, and the adults thought it was too short, so coupled with the fact my husband was so uncomfortable on it, I think it's a one and done for us. Other than the cute scene with the dwarfs, which is very short, there's really nothing that special about the ride to have it commanding the waits that it does, IMHO. If it ever has decent SB waits again, I'd probably do it then, but until then, I'm not going to waste a FP+ on it.

5'10" & 300 lbs here. I'm thick all over. Rode it twice and had no problems, but yes the space for your legs is extremely small.

BTW, rode it at night and during the day. Much better ride at night.
