Oh wow! I never imagined Disney would open a new and popular ride without taking into account the varying sizes of their guests. They have always been so good about that. We definitely have some Pooh size members in my friends and family circle and while there are many rides at Universal they have to miss out on, there have been no issues at WDW. I would be very interested in knowing if any ladies in the, say, size 26-28 range, particularly those who carry their weight more in the hips and thighs, are able to ride. I'd hate for them to go through the line and be turned away.![]()
My friend/co-worker was at WDW last week and she is about 5'4" or 5'5" and probably wears a size 28ish (her t-shirt order at work was for a Lands End size 4X) . She is heavier in the hips and rear. She was turned away from the ride and was utterly humiliated. She says she wont ever go back to WDW. I feel terrible for her. I hope we see a change in seat configuration happen. There are a lot of larger people at WDW that are going to be embarrassed if they don't address it.
