We are taking our first trip on SoCal in June. It will be me, DH, DS (9), DD (9) and DS (7). Am I crazy to think we can fit this all in?

Friday arrive PM into LA

Saturday Universal Studios

Sunday Disneyland/California Adventure

Monday Disneyland/California Adventure

Tuesday Knott's Berry Farm

Wednesday (early am drive to) Legoland

Thursday Sea World

Friday Relax at hotel day (Hotel Del Coronado)

Saturday San Diego Zoo

Sunday leave am from SD

You really need at least one (preferably two) more Disneyland/California adventure days in there. Also, be sure to allow for a lot of traffic on a Wednesday morning to Legoland (at least a 3.5 hour drive time).

Other than that, it should be good.

You can probably do Knotts in a half day. It may be a good idea to do half day Knotts and half day DIS/DCA.

When we went to Knotts we were ready to leave 4 hours before the shuttle took us back to the hotel. It is close to Disneyland, and looks like you will have a car, so half days at each park on the same day are totally doable.

That looks like how I plan our vacations- then I come home exhausted and need a break from vacation lol! This is do-able, but I agree- you might wish you had another day at Disneyland- though Knott's is cute....

I agree about needing a vacation from vacation! In fact, my husband flat out refuses to call DL a vacation.

I think it sounds fun & perfect. The only thing is accepting you will not do it all. There simply is not enough time. We did do all of DL & CA in 1.5 days in January. But in June....eh. Rides will be missed, but what i do is sit down with the kids & ask, "Ok, so what are you cool with skipping this time?"

I WILL say we did SD Zoo in 4 hours. We missed the panda because the line was too long for our patience level. But you don't need 2 days like they suggest & we went in July! :thumbsup2

I agree if you are going in June you will need AT LEAST one more day at DCA/DL if you want to see MOST everything. I think even in summer 3 days is cutting it short. Your trips looks fun but exhausting LOL

Your kids fall into kind of a "gray zone" for Knotts. How tall are they? If they like rollercoasters but are too short for the best ones (several of which have 52-54 inch height requirements), it would be a frustrating day. Camp Snoopy is really just carnival rides with a Snoopy stuck on top, and 7 and 9 is pushing the limits for that area to be fun, IMO. Between the two extremes there aren't a full day of great activities/rides.

If it were me, I think I'd see how I felt after two days at Disneyland and choose a third day at Disneyland (add a day to your pass before leaving the second day) or a rest/beach/pool day. After three straight days standing in lines your kids may be ready for a break.

Your kids will most likely not be able to ride many of the big coasters at Knotts. Otherwise it is a full day park to fully enjoy it. If your kids are too short or don't like big coasters then I'd skip Knotts (even though its a great park!).

If you have been to Disneyland many times then 2 days is doable. If its a 1st time visit then you'll easily want 3 so you'll be able to see most everything.

Traffic to Legoland can be bumper to bumper during rush hours 6:30am-9am but you really can't ever guess with CA freeways. Traffic to Universal from Disneyland shouldn't be bad on a saturday but can still see slow spots so give a little extra time.

SD Zoo for us was a full day. Its a huge zoo. Go on the bus tour early as the line can get bad.

SeaWorld is easily a full day and even better when open at night as the night shows are different than day versions.
