"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I'm so glad Tusker House is getting good reviews! We're going late morning at 10:15, though and just starting the day late since I plan on us being there for emh that night. Everyone looks very nice in their brown for AK day--I'm starting to get in the mood to plan some of the clothes for our trip. I've thought about flamingos for dd and me for AK but I'm not sure how I'll win hubby over to that! :rotfl:

Pink and brown look good together you and dd could do pink flamingos, which I think is awesome for AK, and just put DH in brown.

We had a late seating at Tusker House our first AK day and it was great too!

I wanted to try Tusker House. But I was voted down. Were going to Fulton's after AK.

Its close to the end isn't it? :sad1:

You all look great in browns!

Another trip winding down...I remember trying to get it all down, and being a bit sad when I actually finished, tho at least there was a bit of feeling of accomplishment.

So sad about hardly any animals - I'm almost afraid to go back now, in case we don't get to see many. (We got to see tons of animals in January.) But, Tusker House sounded like fun. Your kids always crack me up!

Btw, now *both* of my kids have started lobbying for more WDW trips. They now equate vacation with Disney, after one trip! We are going to Madison & the Dells next week, and ds got all upset that we weren't going back to WDW, until dh explained just how hot it would be there this time of year. We'll have to see how the Dells compare, I guess. Or I may need to start another PTR...

We are on day 8 of 11 so it's edging towards the end. To bad about being out voted for Tusker House!

That sounds like the best plan.

What a great morning! We loved Tusker house too! The food was great but that juice is to DIE for!:thumbsup2

The juice is to DIE for! :lovestruc

That's awesome! Does she act them out too?

Yes, she does!! She uses a lot of hand motions and will walk and get all into it! Too funny!!

Great update!! I am looking forward to AK!!!:thumbsup2

Just a word of gratitude really does make a huge impact on us moms. Way to go Joey! Tusker House looks yummy, but can you explain this magical juice?

Hmmm how to describe the juice? I know for sure that part of it is pink grapefruit juice, but that's not all of it. It's really really good!

Because there is a rash of Disney decisions being withheld on various trip and pre-trip reports - You Know Who You Are- I will reveal what I've decided to get David for our anniversary.

Now you must remember that when I talked about our 15th anniversary NEXT year he is the one who mentioned Disney. This will be important for me to remind him of. He also has on several occasions indicated that he would like to go on a cruise. So what could be better than-

WONDER-1.jpg

So for this anniversary I booked a WDW land and sea cruise. I was pricing it online and there just happens to be one that sails on our anniversary August 20th. I also found that one of the "secret" port hole rooms was available. So I pushed that book vacation button. Now David is still capable of dashing this plan, but I think that he will like the idea.

Here is my plan so far:
Take the RED EYE flight from Seattle to Orlando Friday August 14, arriving in WDW on Saturday August 15th. That is one day prior to our 4 days of our land part of our package. I want to stay that first night

MasonsAnimalKingdomLodge.jpg

at Animal Kingdom Lodge Club level. I wouldn't even plan on any parks that day, just hang out by the pool, etc. Then we could do the Sunrise Safari in the am, before moving over to Port Orleans River Side for our 4 land days. I picked PORS because it seemed the most romantic of the choices. I know I want to do a carriage ride one of the evenings we are there.

Then on the 20th we sail. We arrive back at port on the Sunday the 23rd. I then want to spend the next 2 nights at The Swan- with my educators rate it's the same as staying at a moderate.

We would then fly home on Tuesday August 23rd. The Disney logic behind those two extra days at the end is because it's cheaper to fly on Tuesdays. :lmao:

Now I just have to come up with a really good way to present it to him on our Anniversary. Which is 2 weeks from tomorrow!

Fantastic Plans!!!:thumbsup2
What's a secret Port Hole room?

One of the best-kept secrets on the Disney Wonder are the "secret porthole" rooms. These six rooms on Deck 5 are sold as Category 10 inside staterooms, but they have obstructed view portholes. Thus, you get sunlight and little view for "free."

Lots of good information about Disney Cruises here-

So, this is for next year's anniversary, right? You can now be my cruise guru!

Who is withholding information on trip reports? :confused3 ;)

That is awesome, Chel! How very exciting! Do we get another whole PTR???

I was cracking up at your comment. I have no (Jen) idea who (Jackie) would be withholding information on their PTRs. I for one certainly don't do that. Or do I? :rotfl2:

I was going to ask the same secret porthole question. I am glad you already answered.

Yay! Someone actually told us something regarding Disney plans! :worship: :worship: :worship:

That sounds like an excellent anniversary present! I can't wait to hear about how you present it to DH on your anniversary! popcorn::

Wow, I am super excited for you guys!! Can't wait to hear what David says at the big reveal!
