My husband, daughter, son-in-law, two grandkids, granddaughter's friend and myself just returned from the 7 day Western cruise in two connecting cabins on Deck 6. What a fantastic time! Key West was very hot but we took the trolley tour and really enjoyed that. Grand Cayman was just beautiful and if you are going, don't miss swimming with the stingrays. What an experience!! Captain Marvin's does an exceptional job and I highly recommend them. We were with another family of 4 so there were 10 of us so we rented our own private boat and were upgraded to a beautiful boat when we got there. They also took us snorkeling out at the reef where one of the two crew swam down and brought out a moray eel for everyone to see. He also had us hold the stingray in our arms. It's something I'll never forget and I am now a big stingray fan. At Cozumel we went to the Tulum Ruins and went swimming there. What a great day this was. Our guide here was very knowledgable about the ruins and gave us so much interesting information. Castaway Cay was fantastic. We were lucky enough to get hammocks and lounges under palm trees. Some did the banana boat ride in the morning and loved it so much they did it again in the afternoon. The weather throughout the whole trip was beautiful -- the only place it was too hot was Key West. The seas were calm and we even saw dolphins along the way. The Magic looked picture perfect after drydock and the crew was fantastic. The grandkids -- one 8 year old and one 11 year old (plus another 11 year old friend) all enjoyed the children's programs and we didn't see a lot of them while at sea except for dinner time. We all thought the food was excellent and both the brunch and dinner at Palos exceptional. My granddaughter and her friend were torn between going to the Club or to regular dinner where they were serving lobster tails. They decided to go to the Club and when our regular server was told he had two lobster tail dinners delivered to our cabins for the girls later that night! That's the Disney spirit for you. The shows were all excellent but there's something about Disney Dreams that makes you tingle all over and brings tears to your eyes. I can't say enough about how great the crew is on this ship. They ALL go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable. My daughter and her family booked another cruise onboard for next year. Hopefully we'll be going again soon too. As you can see we had a fantastic trip and since we were originally booked for the voyage cancelled last November, all I can say is the wait was WELL WORTH IT!!!!

MemereMouse, sounds like you truly had a magical time. Good for you and your family. Sounds like you did a great job of putting that cancelled cruise behind you and finding the magic of Disney.

I know those memories will last a lifetime!

Wow, I'm so jealous! It sounds like you had a great trip and that the crowds were too bad! Welcome home!! Thx for sharing!

Just reading your post has me so excited about our cruise. I am glad you and your family had such a marvelous time!

thank you sooo much memeremouse - Im sitting here in tears especially after reading your very last line. I knew you were on your cruise last week and hoped you were having a great time!
We're 2wks from our Western cruise.

Planning on Aquarium and walking around Key West, finding Jimmy Buffet's. Snorkeling w/the stingrays on Grand Cayman. DS & I have been enjoying touching the stingrays at the Mystic Aquarium. Will take another trip there right before we leave. In Cozumel there is a group of 40 planning a tournament.

16days and counting and definately hoping ITS WORTH THE WAIT!

GLAD U ALL HAD A GREAT TIME...

I think I met your Daughter in line..
for reservations for Palo

Yes, Peter, that was me you met in line...lurking among the Cruistoberfesters! ;)

I really can't add anything except to reiterate what Mom said...it was the trip of a lifetime. Our servers and stateroom host were all exceptional. Brent, Josh, Shi-Shi and the rest of the Cruise Staff were phenomenal (make sure you ask Josh to show you the Squirrel and Badger if you see him!) and the ship was absolutely beautiful after her 2-week drydock.

As you can see by my signature, we'll be sailing again next year. Even DH (who didn't love the 3-day and 4-day DCL cruises) has caught the cruising "bug" and is looking forward to the Eastern itinerary.

Wow! I didn't notice that you had also booked for 10/02/04! We definitely will see you then!
