So, when in Nassau we really don't have any plans. James is doing the Segway Tour, and that's about it. We thought we'd walk to the Straw Market. How long will it take to walk around the Straw Market? Do we need cash for the Straw Market?

I honestly don't know. In the few times I've been to Nassau, I haven't been to the straw market.

I would think so. Some of the vendors probably take credit cards though. Your Key to the World card will not work though.:lmao:

This was taken from the straw market, so it shouldn't be too long of a walk.

CRUISE QUESTION!

Nicole got me thinking....we are planning to just walk around a bit, but always enjoy a good local dining experience. Is there something within walking distance to the port or a quick ride that would be fun and safe with the kids. My kids will eat anywhere, they don't have to have chicken nuggets. I saw mention of Senior Frogs? Is that any good?

I wonder how many people have tried that :) It's been awhile since I've seen cash. I'll have to see what I can find. We use debit/credit for EVERYTHING.

That's a good question. THat's going to be tough for DH to decide what to do. He could eat on the ship for free, but he doesn't want to be on the ship much on our Nassau day. Decisions, decisions.

How close is the beach to the dock?

I know the Senor Frogs in Mexico are better known as drinking establishments rather than dining.

:wave2:

Good morning everyone. I'm really dragging this morning. That time switch (DST) obviously messed me up.

I'm so excited to hear that Jen and Chris get to play after the cruise. If it matters, DH Phillip and I are part of that "quite a group that's staying at BWV" after the cruise. :)

I can't help but think about Pete and Walter this morning, waking up in Nassau, not getting off the ship, enjoying some spa time. Ahh. :cloud9: That will be us in a couple of months people! That will be us!

So those tips aren't included in the "lump sum" that you add on to your bill?

Do you have any ones I can borrow????

:wave2: Good Morning Everyone,

Like Dodie, I'm dragging a bit this morning due to the time change. We woke up to darkness outside. It will be nice to have light later in the day though.

Why yes, I do have ones....but your going to need to work for them....they ain't free!!

No, if you get room service you need to tip the servers appropriately. The ones you generally tip with the "lump sum" are the dining room head server, assistant server and server plus your room steward.

Tracy, seeing as how I've led quite the sheltered life and have never ordered room service, can you please tell me what aprpopriately would be?
