You know something. It will be here before we know and gone that much more quickly. It just seemed like yesterday Pete and Walter got on the Wonder. That was a quick four days.

I'm sure gonna need this vacation by the time it arrives.

In 2007, we drove with a 9 year old, 7 year old, 2 year old and a 7 month old. It was fantastic. We spent 51 hours in the car (total) and out of the 51 hours, only 15 minutes of it was noisy. It was really a lovely drive... my hubby and I had a lot of quality time together to talk.

One word: Portable DVD player.

Okay, that's 3 words.

I want to convince Shanan to drive cross-country with Aaron for my brother's wedding; I think it sounds like a TON of fun!
Time is an issue, unfortunately, so it'll have to wait for us.

I know mornings are usually worse when it comes to colds, so I'm hoping it's not going to be too bad. I can just feel the rattle in my lungs, eeeew. On a happier note, Evan slept through the night, so he must be doing a little better (he's still sleeping).And Ethan is back to normal like nothing ever happened. Go figure.

I AM LEAVING 8 WEEKS FROM TODAY.

In fact, at this point I should be checked in to the hotel. And getting ready to head out to the Magic Kingdom. Maybe. It is an AM EMH. HHHMMMMM. I guess any of the parks are going to have a crowd at this point in the day. Maybe AK, single rider line at EE is great. And I can get more tiger pictures. Then head to MK for dinner and Spectro and Wishes. Might try for a nap in the middle there. My flight leaves at 6:50 AM. Yuck.

The car already has one and we can borrow a 2nd from my parents if needed. We are leaning towards driving.

You got that right.

Flying is so fast that no one really has time to get cranky. Driving we have everything we need and can do it through the night so most of them are asleep. Flying expensive for 5 so it's cheaper if we drive, but the thought of it scares me to death!

I'm in the same quandary for next December. We took a road trip around florida last xmas so of course we drove. We are in Disney for 2 weeks this year and I asked the kids what they wanted to do. All 3 of them want to drive. It is nice to bring so much more stuff when gone that long and not have to get a rental car, but its about 20 hrs for us from the great state of Michigan.

3 portable DVD players, two screens in the headrest, 2 game boys, lots of books, lots of stickers that we allow to be put anywhere in the car, snacks, breaks for gas and treats when we stop, pillows, presents to open if/when anyone gets cranky, new toys they haven't seen before....
