So I noticed that my countdown ticker flipped over to 1 month and 4 weeks until the cruise today!!

Same here, we are a lot of things, but we don't care about keeping stuff "new". I've always been lax about letting them make a mess in the car, not too worried when they spill stuff, etc. Its only stuff and they are only young for a while. Something I tried to pickup and learn from the last lecture.

One time my son spilled chocolate milk in the back of the minivan. That I was not happy about. I don't like things that can stink.

Pete's last 2 blog entries were awesome! Makes me want to fly down to MCO right now!

All right, cruise question...

ASKTRACY!!

Do people bring the walkie talkies on board like they do in the parks?

Are they allowed or would they interfere with the communications on board?

Just wonderin'....

With the whole "Borg Collective" thing and all............:lmao:

Seriously, are they allowed??

I'm still upset about the whole skeet shootin thing.

My cousin brought them on for one of our cruises and they worked well. It was a much bigger ship than the Wonder. He bought a really good pair I guess.:goodvibes

Durned kids gave me their sickness!!! UGH..........

I hope you feel better Jen!:grouphug:

Has everyone here read Pete's 2 blogs from the cruise? Nassau and Castaway Cay.

I have read the 1st blog not the second. I will in a few.

What size car would someone need for 4 adults and luggage?

How much stuff is everyone brining? If you have 4 big suitcases and 4 carryon suitcases, plus do they have FE gifts? You may need a full size car.:confused3

A quick, Good Morning :wave2:, before I dashoff to my morning round of meetings.

I need a new laptop for home. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards another Apple, MacBook.

I have a Mac. I like my Mac.:)

Yeah i just finished them...
I love the pics and it's all tru what he says about Castaway Cay...

And i'm beginning to think that i'm nuts for wanting to wander around in Nassau....

If you're nuts, then I am just as batty, Yvette. I just want to wander around for a bit. Soak up some of the culture. Even if it is people trying to hock cheap trinkets. Whenever I go someplace new, I thoroughly enjoy just roaming around for a little bit. There's just stuff that you won't see on a tour or if you go to the typical tourist spots.

I have been around the Caribbean. It can get old having to say no thank you 5,000 time in an hour. The worst is when they start fallowing you. Some islands are better than others. I have heard Nassau was bad. So we took a cab over to Atlantis. We had a great day.
Our cab driver drove us around Nassau when we were there and it was sad. Our cab driver said not to walk around some of these places by yourself. Stay in the tourist areas, and don't wander off to far.I would like to check out the Pirate Museum, it looked pretty neat.

I have a suitcase and a garment bag, Brandie & Matt each have a 25" suitcase and a small bag. I have no clue about Chris.

Are you saying that I would look like a tourist in the Caribbean?

I think you should be able to get away with a mid size car. You can put stuff in the middle of the backseat if you need more room.

YES! DUH:rotfl: :rotfl:

CRUISE QUESTION

Can I rent a jet ski to just "tool around on" ? I don't want to do the tour, but just want to take my oldest around for some high speed jett'en.

I'd probably go for a full size car...I've had a midsize car before and it's ok for 2 people, but for transporting 4 adults plus bags...it might get kinda tight...

ASK TRACY

I was wondering if we will have time to get lunch on board if we use the Disney transfers. You said they start sign up for the bus at 11am, and someone else said they did not leave until 12:30. If that is the case, I don't think we will have time to eat on board, because Kevin said Parrot Cay closed at 2, and I don't think we will get to the port before 1:30. This may influence my choice about a rental car just to get to and from the port. Maybe.

I want to convince Shanan to drive cross-country with Aaron for my brother's wedding; I think it sounds like a TON of fun!
Time is an issue, unfortunately, so it'll have to wait for us.

I was really nervous to spend so much time in the car but it was so nice. I would do it again in a heart beat. :)

3 portable DVD players, two screens in the headrest, 2 game boys, lots of books, lots of stickers that we allow to be put anywhere in the car, snacks, breaks for gas and treats when we stop, pillows, presents to open if/when anyone gets cranky, new toys they haven't seen before....

I bought a bunch of Disney related cr@p that I gave the kids every 100 miles or so... it would keep them busy for an hour and then I pulled out the new toy.

We also made a huge deal about stopping... we got out, played tag, stretched, bought snacks, etc. I was nursing at the time, so we were forced to stop every 3 hours.
