We are having trouble finding a first dance song. What did you play and what are some of the ones that you think are good. Please help us, we need to pick one soon because we need to start our dance lessons. Thanks for all the help.

we danced to "Can't help falling in love with you" by Elvis...it was played by the violist and sounded really nice.

Well, I havent had my wedding yet but I have thought of a first dance song. The one I want to use is Endless Love. Im planning on using the version that is sung by two members of the cast of Glee. Its a really romantic slow song. If you would like to hear it, let me know and ill try to post a link to it on here. Good luck in finding that right song for the two of you!:thumbsup2

We will be dancing to Katie Melua-call off the search, we were also considering Ingrid Michaelson-the way i am and Frank Sinatra or Stacy Kent-I've got a crush on you.

I would suggest listening to the radio a lot, and seeing if you hear anything that makes you think of your and DF's relationship. Also, look at some lists online of most used first dance songs and see if you like any. We are doing Elton John "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." It makes me tear up everytime I hear it!

We are dancing our first song to Rascall Flats "God Bless The Broken Road" try googling first dance songs and see if anything reminds you of one another.

We danced to an oldie "Just You and Me," by Chicago. People at our wedding kept asking what song it was lol. It fit us perfectly and was a song that he played me when we were just bf and gf. It had a lot of meaning to us.

This is a second wedding for both of us... our song is Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.

"So Close" from Enchanted.
DH isn't much of a dancer and we never had a song per se.
We took a CD full of songs we both loved to our dance instructor and she helped us pick out one to choreograph knowing that DH has zero rhythm and two left feet.

Of all the songs, "So Close" was one of the easiest for us to get a hold of as a couple with a lot of complex steps thrown in. :thumbsup2

We used all Disney songs from the movies (to include Star Wars) for our wedding both at the ceremony and on the iPod we used for our reception. Our first dance was to Elton John singing "Can you Feel the Love Tonight" from Lion King.

Although we didn't have a Disney wedding (back in 1991) we danced to "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. It was/is our song. One of our first dates was to see "Ghost" and the movie & song just fits for us. As a matter of fact, after the movie we had gone to dinner and DH said to me "when we get married, we have to have "Unchained Melody" play." (This was only a few weeks after we met). We met in an oldies bar (called Studabakers) and we had danced to that song; DH told me later that when we danced to that song the one thing that popped into his head was "OMG she's the one!" (He knew the night we met we'd get married). :lovestruc And now, next year it will be 20 years!

I suggest googling songs and reading the lyrics to see if any "fit" you and your fiance.

Our first dance song was "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds, we are both Ben Folds fans and love that song so it was perfect for us. I would think about songs you like that mean something to you.

We danced to Elton John's Can You Feel The Love Tonight. We did a romantic rumba that everyone loved watching. The rumba is really easy and you don't have to "travel" much around the dance floor. If you have any questions or would like to see our dance to get an idea of what a rumba is, let me know and i can send you a link.

At our Vow Renewal for our first dance we danced to "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrole. We had a really hard time finding a song that we liked, was different, had the right words for us, wasn't too fast, or too slow!

We haven't had our wedding yet but the song we plan to dance to is You'll be in My Heart by Phil Collins. It's our song and we love it!!!! :goodvibes My fiance doesn't know it but that is what I engraved in his ring.

It Had To Be You...Harry Connick Jr. From When Harry Met Sally...Funny story about that...it was the movie we had our first kiss to...and then there are threads of that through our relationship (like the love letter he wrote that he ended with "Thank you for making sure I didn't bring home a wagon wheel coffee table...")

We are dancing to the My Apocalyptica version of "Nothing Else Matters" Its a lot of fun because its a small orchestra playing a Metallica song. It sounds so beautiful and yet unless you love them like we do you would have NO idea it was a Metallica song. We are really not lovely dovey love song people and so this works perfectly!!
