Although the thought of this song always makes me smile and laugh outloud as a first song - Sinead always brings a smile. It's right up there with the PP's husband's choice of Let's Get it On. And would never make the cut.

I am amazed... When i look at you... I see you smiling back at me... It's like all my dreams come true...

We had "You're My Best Friend" by Queen as our last dance.

Another great song we were considering was "True Companion" by Marc Cohn. Too many of our friends had that but that is another great song. Shania Twain's "From This Moment" is another great one.

Our first song was "Sentimental Reasons" largely because we didn't have a "song" and couldn't dance. Oh well...

I would have loved "In My Life" but it didn't really fit the situation. We were 21 and 24 when we got married--hardly enough of a past to fit the song! But it is a fantastic pick for older couples who have more of a "life" to speak of!

A friend chose "Do You Realize" by the Flaming Lips. It's not that it's not a pretty song, but it's about death. It reminded me of all those people who pick "Every Breath You Take" without really thinking about the lyrics or context.
