I went to use the restroom once at the grand floridian and all they had was that sandpaper type toilet paper. I complained and they gave me a roll of charmin. :dance3:

I can appreciate that OP's frustration, because I experienced the same type of disappointment on our very first trip.

We were on our "once in a lifetime" trip, and as such, we planned SW/US/IOA and MK as our parks to visit. We were spending 2 days at MK, 1 full day and then MVMCP later in the week. We specifically chose our first trip to MK to be on a Saturday, because it would be open until 11:00 pm., and we wanted to see everything. Unbeknownst to me, the Saturday we chose was the day they were filming the Christmas parade, and instead of running the Dreams parade at 3:00 pm as scheduled, they ran the Christmas parade late, at about 5 or so. This was my one and only (so I thought then) chance to see the Dreams parade, since we were only coming back to MK for MVMVP and would see the special parade then. Had I known that the parade would be changed, I might have picked a different date to attend. I was very, very, upset and disappointed. I never thought to complain to anybody (except my poor husband who had to listen to me b!tching) or ask for a refund. I got over it. We loved the Christmas parade, and enjoyed it again for MVMCP.

So, while I total get the frustration, I don't really get the drama.

I see it as a generational thing. I have noticed that many teens and young adults today regard even the slightest disappointment as a catastrophe and respond with lots of drama (I WAS NERVE WRACKED). I feel there is a certain sense of entitlement and a "my way or else" attitude that comes from certain children being catered to their entire lives.

This was a fireworks show. A FIREWORKS SHOW. My father responded with less drama when he was told he needed heart bypass.

I especially like the "anniversary" part. 1 year dating a boyfriend. Ha! Give me a break.

I surely hope the OP's future is full of roses and rainbows. If this is her response to a fireworks show, I'd hate to see how she would respond in the face of an actual trauma.

I can almost hear the whining.

:thumbsup2
Of course the OP wanted something for free - otherwise she wouldn't have been nattering to so many people about the fireworks for heaven's sake. Honey, suck it up and grow up, if having to suffer through the wrong fireworks is the biggest problem you have, you are very lucky. If it have rained that day, would you have whined twice as long because Disney didn't tell you on your schedule. With so many trips to Disney in one year and more coming up, I'm sure you will be able to see your fireworks of choice another time. Sorry people but sheesh, give me a break!

All things at Disney are subject to change without notice.

Because this has become a debate about something other than Theme Park Attractions or Strategies, I am closing the thread. If you would like to discuss things further, please feel free to post on the Community Board.
