After a very long while of trying to hop into the High Scores list, I managed to fit in, by scoring 264,661 (which has not been my best)! I managed to log in early and score it, since I'm on my winter holidays! Woohoo!
Unluckily, I reached the Top 20 and not Top 10, which didn't give me any additional reward, but still, I achieved my goal of hopping into a Top something chart!
You get a credit bonus that says for reaching the top 10 instead of the reaching the 5th level. So it's not really additional...it just has a different reason.
First off, thanks again to everyone for congratulating me.
Then, yes I do have good tips to get past the 240,000. At first, when I attempted to reach 240,000, I always tried to hit all Flawlesses. WRONG! You should not attempt at Flawlesses until you get used to Awesomes. It's probable that you will get a lower score attempting to hit all Flawlesses. I'd rather hit more fireworks, with Goods and Awesomes than a single one with Flawless. It's tougher to hit Flawlesses, therefore, a higher probability that you miss them. My suggestion is, aim at awesomes, until you get very used to the game. Once you get used to the game, you will automatically be going to hit Flawlesses, as you are already getting used to keep on hitting them. As well as that, I always try to obey respective scores in each round, in order to get at least 240,000 per game. For the 1st Level, your score should be above 42,000. For the 2nd Round your score should be above 90,000. For the 3rd one, above 140,000. For the 4th one, above 195,000 (preferably above 200,000) and for the last one, you will certainly superpass 240,000.
Gah, just LOOK at the scores on that list! I think I've only hit over 240 like 3 times, yet I can usually hit around 230 with little effort. You people with your 260-280 scores AMAZE me! Perhaps I should start working toward that goal instead of spending all my time these days playing Pirates.
Congratulations, Karo. A rank well deserved for a job well done.
