I wanted to be sure anyone who may be interested knew about the paper fireworks glasses that sell for a $1 each in MK. :cool1:
They work very similar to the angel glasses that use to be handed out for free at the Osborne Lights in MGM. Rather than angels, these glass effects create streaks of color prisms.
The glasses are sold at the wandering vendor carts that sell the light up merchandise. The glasses are not displayed. So unless guests know they have them to sell, they probably are ignored.
We bought and used ours at Wishes last last. We were around a lot of lights. I liked that, as the extra light effects blocked out everyone's heads around me. DH did not like it because of the extra light effects. (From lights, not fireworks.) To each their own. ;)

I had not seen this posted here. And this is a good inexpensive tip! :teeth:
We showed our glasses to several guests last night and no one knew about them. :wizard:

Hello - I've never heard of the angel glasses from MGM either, so I don't understand what they are. Could you explain a little more please? Are they drinking glasses, or wearing glasses??

A photo would not show much. They are just typical paper 3D type glasses. One size fits all, depending on which precrease they are folded on.
They are sold flat, lying in a stack.
Unless a guest even knew what they were on the merchandise cart, even seeing the glasses they may not be aware of what they really are.
The cart we bought ours from had the glasses laying in the center of the cart, rubberbanded in a stack. We knew those carts sold them. A friend told us over the holidays. Otherwise we would not have known either.

The outside of our glasses are canary yellow. The inside is white paper. Clear lens.
3D firecracker emblem between the eyes.

Give SLIGHT 3D effect -- maybe. Not really 3D glasses as they are effect eye glasses.
They have prisms of rainbow colors circling and reflecting from every light you see.
For a buck, buy some and see for yourself. :) I doubt you will be disappointed. And of course they are good to wear to view any light source. We are going to wear them while watching Illuminations.

I use to wear my MGM 3D angel glasses when looking at neighborhood holiday lights! :teeth:

Hi, I've just found this thread. I have some of the 3D glasses where one of the lens is blue, the other red. Will these work?

If you want to see some sample of these glasses, go to www.3dglassesonline.com.

We got the Christmas glasses for our 2 DD's to view neighborhood holiday lights last year. We bought the snowflake and star designs. VERY COOL! My daughters didn't like it that I kept wanting to use them (should have bought myseof a pair!!).

Anyway, you can order these glasses online, the minimum order is 50 and I think they're 40 cents a pair. (The more you order the cheaper they get.) Check them out!

The other nice thing would be that my kids normally wear their sunglasses during illuminations since they always end up with ashes falling in their eyes. This will cover their eyes and give them a neat effect.

How neat! We have some of these that my boys wear at Christmas time...they make the xmas lights turn into stars and things. I never knew Disney had these! I love knowing secret Disney stuff. :):)

Thanks for the info. :)

We found some free 3D glasses on the inside of FRUIT BY THE FOOT packages :) You've got to cut them out and they don't have ear things, (you have to hold them on unless you concoct some way to hold them on your head). But free is free :flower:

Do they have these firework glasses in every park?? I am going to MK in may, and would like to get these. Thanks.
