Looking at the Before You Go Page and noticed the fireworks are no longer Pirate themed or has this always been the case?

Fireworks
Fireworks continue to illuminate the night on most itineraries—it’s a spectacular journey of color, light and song at sea.

Disney Ever After
Magic fills the sky during our exciting Disney-themed fireworks show at sea. The upper decks spring to life as a pre-show playlist of favorite Disney songs echoes through the night leading up to a dazzling light show underneath the stars.

The fireworks weren't specifically pirate themed, just happened to be on Pirate Night. But since Pirate Night is no more (it's Buccaneer Takeover) it's just a music change, most likely.

No more Pirate Night? What's the difference with "Buccaneer takeover?"

The fireworks actually were pirate related, as it started to simulate cannons going off, following the pirate show and the whole show had the POC music.

It's pretty much the same as the old pirate night, except:
- The fireworks music isn't pirate-themed,
- There's no big deck party before the fireworks, and
- There's a smaller show at dinner.

And there's no late night buffet in Cabanas.

Well, that's been gone for several years.

Losing the feeding frenzy would be no great loss IMHO. The amount of abandoned plates with one or two bites of food gone was shameful. I can only guess that people got so frenzied about the food they forgot that they had only eaten a couple of hours earlier at most and eyes were a lot bigger than stomachs.

I definitely went to it on the Wonder in January 2020. Just to make sure I was remembering correctly, I went back and checked my trip report and yep, I make specific mention of going and eating (more than I should have).

That's good to know. Our family really enjoys the pirate night theme. We have pirate shirts just for the occasion. pirate:
