Fireworks and Parades

Hello everyone!

When you go to Disneyland Resort do you see each of the parades and fireworks everyday they have them or just once each during your stay? If just once, how do you decide when to see them?

We see them at least once - then it's up to the kids which we try to see again - usually Fantasmic! and the Electrical parade twice each, and the fireworks once, with the day parades only once as well.

We try to see fireworks as soon as possible as we've visited during times where they were cancelled due to high winds. That way, if we miss them one night...there's time to try again. As for parades, it really depends on how bad you want to go on the rides because the lines tend to be shorter when the parades are going on. Our kids are older and have been to Disney enough times that they sometimes opt for the rides and then catch the parade later during the stay.

Typically, we'll put effort into seeing each once each trip. That means, we'll work to get a good spot to view each parade or fireworks once each trip. We'll watch portions of the parade and most of the fireworks again if it's easy or if we happen to be in the right spot at the right time; it's usually easy to watch the fireworks again. The Electrical Parade is favorite, and it's fairly easy to get a good spot to view it, so we'll generally watch it twice each trip. We've seen Fantasmic enough times now, and it usually takes a fair amount and time and effort to watch, so we will generally catch it at most once.

Ditto the advice about fireworks - they cancel these if there is rain or even moderate winds.

The 5 nights we were there they were cancelled 3 times - fortunately we saw them the first night.

They also cancelled the parade one night because of rain, so make sure you see it first thing.

If you are filming it's also good to go twice because you can get a better idea od where to stand and where to film the second time. In any case, both are so good they deserve repeated viewings (although the parade is a VERY good time to go on popular rides and line up for food as queues are much smaller).

I usually skip the parades while in DW in Florida, however, I'm feeling the need to do and see everything in California.

Fantasmic is going to be on 2X a night while we are in California. I'm thinking the 2nd showing at 10:30 will be not as crowded, Correct?

Also do people sit out and wait for the Parade hours before the way they do in Disneyworld?
