Do you normally tip the captain on a firework cruise? I would think yes but I wanted to be sure. Also can you valet when parking your car for the cruise? I didn't know since we don't have a reservation for a meal.

Thanks!

Those are good questions...we are thinking of a fireworks cruise on our next trip so I'll be watching this thread.

I would think if you had a reservation for a fireworks cruise out of a specific resort, you should be able to park for free in the regular lot. It's basically an ADR. If not, as long as you are willing to pay and there is space available, you can valet. Not sure about the tipping. My brother, many many years ago, used to have to sometimes fill in as a captain if one of the employees called out (he was a coordinator). He would sometimes get tips and appreciated it, though I don't think he expected one. He liked getting away from it all and enjoying the fireworks with nice guests!

You can always valet park, since it costs more than regular theme park parking. But as above, you can park in the regular resort parking for free because you have a reservation there - it doesn’t have to be for dining specifically.

We had a wonderful boat captain and we made sure her tip reflected that! We had a great time and would definitely do it again.
