FINISHED 3/28 My Happily Ever After & "Treating" around the world

What about doing a slideshow set to the music of Wishes? Or print some of the lyrics on your programs? Or make your tables/table numbers Wishes themed? I'm just listing off some of the ideas I've seen used at the tons of weddings I've been to in the past three years. There's a couple parts of just the instrumental stuff that you could dance to. You could make a "Wishes" page/scrapbook/photobook and have quotes from the song or pictures and have people sign it and leave "Wishes" for you as a couple? You could print and leave the last line attached to your favor if you're giving one out... "Thanks folks for making this little gathering of ours so magical. And from our family and friends to yours may all your Wishes come true." (or something to that effect.) I found a version that has actual people singing at the end (not characters) that you could dance to.

I don't know how cheesy/overboard you want to go! :rotfl: I personally enjoy being cheesy!

Keep us posted on your job stuff.

my daddy just got me beach club villas for a week for my disneymoon starting may 17th :yay: :cloud9: :cool1: :cheer2:

Just checking in... Hope everything is going okay!

You are SO sweet. Everything's going really well, I have just been really busy with wedding stuff ( we went to the caterer tasting and picked out our wedding cake, i bought my wedding dress and veil, got my engagemnt photos, picked the place for our rehearsal dinner... paid deposits to the ballroom, photographer, and baker) I also recently started an intensive critical care course; as well as am picking up as much OT as possible (that's the great thing about nights, once a couple people quit, no one with more seniority really wants to adjust to nights for the OT)

Just busy busy busy!!! Also joined Weight Watchers, bought a SEXY L shaped sofa, HE washer/dryer & have been house hunting/L&D job hunting...

All good, but all very very busy!

Are you doing better, my dear?:flower3:

I am glad to hear that everything is moving along so well! Things are great here - we got married on 10-09-08 (easy date to remember) ~ and we are leaving for Disney World early next Monday... We can't wait! Glad you are getting to work more and are enjoying it ~ I know you can't wait for everything to come together and it will be here before you know it!

OMG how was your trip and your wedding??? you must tell me EVERYTHING!!! my wedding is in 6 months and it seems SO far away!!!!!!

i just bought DVC, a little Disney, just about every year, for the rest of my life, before bambinos (and over 50% paid off already).

My life is brilliant and I'm guessing yours is also :) Uploading to photobucket so I can get a jump on my TRs (they were saved on my laptop that just quit charging, so it's pretty much inaccessible... i think i have MOST of the photos saved on facebook. i hope.)

so cute. where did you get the people singing wishes? and do you have any more info about having someone sign the guest book to this? our guestbook is peacock themed with a peacock feather (deals with my future last name).

what quotes would you use on the program?

The next morning we woke up bright and early to hit EPCOT... we eagerly went to Mission Space where Josh made me go on the orange. That was sick and I felt nasty all day. But I love him, and he compromises with me, so I let him drag me to stuff like that. We also hit test track single rider line, which Josh fell in love with!!!! We also ride Living with the Land

and hop on Honey I shrunk the Audience! (3d glasses, below!)
We also hopped on Soarin'
HPIM1927.jpg

Enough of that stuff, Josh and I have lunch ressies for Le Cellier... We are pumped for our pretzel bread and STARVING!
HPIM1935.jpg

While we're finishing our delicious lunches (I had the cheddar cheese soup), the waiter tells us we have a phone call. It's an adorable congratulations from mickey and minnie, i hand the phone off to Josh and all we really get out of it is something about wedding cake???

While leaving Le Cellier, Josh was enthralled by the beautiful garden (this was during Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival).
HPIM1944.jpg

After our brilliant lunch (if there's any more pictures, I'll post them, I do know that we were starved and SCARFED OUR FOOD) we decided to take pictures with one of the adorable Photopass guys that offered his services.

I had no idea how proud I was of this ring until looking at these pictures six months later. Here's us (and me) cheesin' and showing off my bling around the world showcase.

Completely in love and cheesin' it up... how do we spend the rest of our day? Stay tuned....

popcorn:: tuning in popcorn:: i got engaged on the beach of the Grand Floridian too, i think it the most beautiful and private spot!

We hung out in the World Showcase, wandering around and enjoying a few drinks and rides. Here's Josh with his "MICKEY EARS"

Josh loves America:

Hanging out on the bridge over Italy... i want to ride in a gondola!

We get a fiesta margarita to split and decide to stroll back to the monorail to hit the TTC so we can get back to Shades of Green... It's time to get ready for our dinner reservation at Raglan Road and our forray into the Adventurer's Club!!!

I'm glad you're back updating! I really like the picture of the yellow flowers in Epcot (I'm drawing a blank on their names!).

I love that in every picture you're showing off your ring. So cute!

I can't wait to read more updates!

what quotes would you use on the program?

I'm sending you a PM about the song.

I would probably just put a sign above the guest book saying something like, "Leave your Wishes for the bride and groom as they start their new life together..." You could do it in Disney font or on a picture of a castle or fireworks or something. You could have a cd playing the song softly on the table where the guest book is set up. I guess it depends on the set up of your reception area.

My friend put in her program different quotes (not Disney quotes, though) and then used them to thank different people. So if she would have used this quote: Star light, star bright,
first star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
have the wish, I wish tonight.
We'll make a wish, and do as dreamers do,
and all our wishes (all our wishes),
will come true.

She would have put something about how their families made it possible to follow their dreams and taught them to follow their dreams/wishes and it led them to where they are today. Something to that effect, worded better of course.

Haha. I love coming up with ideas! (But never want to plan my own wedding!) I think they're too cheesy sometimes!

Oh and because of you, I watched Newsies the other day for the first time and loved it!

I totally didn't realize how much I was showing it off until doing the TR yesterday... It's kind of funny.

I LOVE your idea, I just sent an email to my mom and copied that whole thing right out of here and telling her I want to put it in the program. That was SUCH a great idea.

ISNT NEWSIES THE BEST EVER???? Josh still won't watch it with me, he watched about 3 minutes and then fell asleep.

Wow - I just caught up with your report. What a story! That is just about the most romantic proposal I have heard!

Thanks so much for sharing!:goodvibes

We see they say “Just Married”. It’s SO cute. However, DBF and I decided that Disney World is MUCH to hectic for us to enjoy on our honeymoon. We know you can do more relaxing things, but DBF tells me he enjoys doing Disney with me. He likes doing and seeing everything. He likes “getting our money’s worth!

 HAHA I re-read this, and I'm totally doing Disney on my Honeymoon:love: .

My CD of e-pictures is in Josh's car, he's at Staples and running around today so you'll have to have the grainy ones off the website.

Thank you so much for reading and all of your sharing. And one year later, we get to go back for our Honeymoon. I feel so lucky!!!

I loved Newsies! It was great.

Yes! You should definitely put in your engagement pictures!!!

We change and get to PI about 830... Our reservation is not til 930, so I drag Josh by the hand and make a beeline for Adventurer's Club. He rolls his eyes at the over priced drinks and doesn't get my enthusiasm.
HPIM1985.jpg

Waiting for the first show to start. Josh looks bored with me.

My sister and I have always been obsessed with Emil. Every time we go, we always get all excited when Emil comes and talks to us. My sister was very jealous of our trip. Since we're from Ohio and Emil's "From Sandusky", he got excited to meet us too. Here's the picture that Josh begged for from the manager (my sister would later except josh into the family with help from this photo). I'm so happy with this picture occuring, I look like I might burst! :cloud9: I think you can tell from Josh's face that he is pretty happy with Disney World, the Adventurer's Club, pleasure island and everything in our lives right now !!!!
HPIM1987.jpg

It's now time for Raglan Road and there's live entertainment:
HPIM1989.jpg

And we order a beer flight (delicious!)
HPIM1990.jpg
As well as drunk chicken
HPIM1991.jpg

HPIM1992.jpg
Here's me, I'm starting to resemble a drunken chicken.

And our dinner, the Bang Bang's Bangers (& Mash) - Homemade gourmet Irish sausages served over onion and mashed potatoes, then topped with a red wine onion reduction $16.95

Throughout the show our neighbors were trading insults with us, and envying our beer flight. We told them we just got engaged and they offered to take a picture
HPIM1999.jpg

He tried to give us money to buy drinks for our engagement. He wouldn't take it back!
HPIM2002.jpg

So I graciously accepted and took a picture with him:
HPIM2000.jpg

Then, right before we left, we used the twenty bucks to buy two beer flights to send over to their table. They were pretty excited.

Now it was time to return to the Adventurer's club!

Josh and his delicious drink:
HPIM2010.jpg
They named it after me, I think it was a Disney Blushing Bride or something... But I was mildly intoxicated after this... :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

If anyone wants to know what my shirt said, PM me. It's totally not Disney friendly, but I wanted to get made fun of at PI. (AC is really funny when they interact with you!!! I like being insulted, in case you haven't noticed!)

Next up, Animal Kingdom!

I love your engagement pictures!! They're so nice. You guys look so cute.

It looks like you had fun at AC! I'll be PMing you because the saying on the shirt was bugging me before I read you said we could PM you!

I have been on Nutrisystem and I'm losing weight but I'm so hungry and I miss beer and wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wedding planning is crazy, my job is crazy, I just want to move to where my family or his family is. I hate it here and I hate having no friends. I get so happy when I read my TR and I think about Disney and my upcoming Disneymoon.

Someone motivate me to get this thing done!!! (I'm on what, Tuesday night??? I still have like five days to go!)

Irky, I need help creating bridesmaid/bride/Maid of Honor tank tops for getting our hair did before the wedding. I know you are super creative, have you seen anything you like/ have any ideas?
