I'm interested to read your final analysis of SOG. I know it doesn't have what's considered the typical "Disney Magic" (that said, you still shouldn't get rudeness

), but for me the Magic of SOG is getting to go to WDW 4x as often as we'd be able to if we stayed somewhere else (plus being right by the MK with easy access to a monorail, a great view from every
huge room, etc etc). We're the second to highest price bracket (DH is a Major in the USAF) and it's ridic how inexpensive and affordable the whole thing still is- for instance, when we go in Sept our room is $160/day for a poolside room and that includes breakfast and dinner- I mean, you just cannot beat that and the room is
huge by Disney standards (about 455 sf). No matter what time of year our poolside room is
always $129- whether it's Christmas Eve or June 1. Now
that makes my heart chock full of Magic

. We've been to SOG so many times now that I feel like I'm coming home as soon as I walk through the doors. Plus, it feels so great to be around other military. So many people that stay there are on break or just back from a tour to the sandbox and I know the time they're getting with their family at WDW is utterly priceless and irreplaceable. It really warms my heart that they get the opportunity that they might not otherwise have. Plus, it's nice to have a conversation with someone without having to explain all the acronyms

.
But...if you miss the more typical "Disney Magic" I totally,
totally get that. As long as you're there having fun, it's all good
