This is our first trip to Disney. Finally talked my husband into going. We are going in April for spring break. I have been reading this board about good and bad hotels. We are trying to stay on a budget and I have checked out various websites, like hotelmartusa.com and others. I found a hotel by the name of Executive Resorts Apartments/Suites. The location is next to the Florida Mall. Does anyone know this area or stayed here? Any help is appreciated.

You're pretty far away from the 'action' if you're staying by the Florida Mall. I can recommend the Comfort Suites Maingate East which is a great hotel with a free continental breakfast and their rooms fit 5. We are a family of 5 as well and I understand your frustration!

CIME is just off 192 and is a stone's throw from Disney. We were just there a couple of weeks ago for the second time, and the pool was nice and it was convenient to be able to walk to all kinds of different restaurants, etc. It is situated right beside Old Town.

I think I booked through HotelmartUSA and got a pretty good rate!

Also check out the Tropical Palms resort, which is right behind Old Town, too. Website is http://www.tropicalpalms.com .

Edit: just checked their website. Their stuido cottage is still running for $59/night (checked May 2004). It has a queen bed, double bed, sofa bed adn a sleeping loft. It can hold up to 4 adults and 4 kids, although I wouldn't want that many people in that space - LOL!

These are individual cottages (ie manufatured homes) that have a full kitchen and a deck. Nice family atmosphere from what I hear, too. I've never stayed here but did look into them before lucking out on a timeshare.

Thank you for all the replies. I booked a room at the Hawthorne Suites Sea World thru hotelmartusa.com. I got it for $83 a night. Thanks again. It was hard to find a place because we are going during spring break.
