Well after almost 2 days I finally got to see a doctor. I thought this whole insurance nightmare was behind me, however I apperently had the wrong card with me at the dr.s office??? They said I was not a patient of theirs?? I said I have been coming here for years how can this be. Well it seems they joined a new group and my card was not updated they said just call and get a new card. Ok so I get home call the insurance people and they say I can not see my doc because he is not accepting new patients. I explained I was not a new patient and that I needed to have the name changed on the card they said no they could not do that. SO after a few minutes of explaining they decided I could see my doc. I said good because I had already had they apt. So I guess you can get through to insurance people you just have to yell a little. :rolleyes:
 
Good to hear things look like they are getting straightened out. :) Medical is so complicated today.
 
UGH, sounds like a mess to have to work through! Glad they straightened that out though so you could see your doctor!
 
Sounds like you have my luck with dr's and insurance companies (somehow my paperwork is lost or misfiled a lot:rolleyes: ). I'm glad you got tough with them and straightened it out.:)
 

I've found that yelling does work... a fewyears ago my DH had ot have open heart surgery to replace his aortic valve (at age 32) to fix a congenital defect. 1 1/2 years later I was still fighting with the ins company over a bill of about 1500.00 they still hadn't paid but were supposed to. After about 6 million phone calls and letters I finally was fed up & I ended up telling this one woman one the phone "Look, I know it's not your fault personally, but I now understand how someone can get frustrated & end up as a sniper on the roof with a rifle" I guess they figured out I had had enought b/c it was taken care of that day w/ apologies.
 
Glad to hear you got it straightened out, finally. Dealing with insurance companies is just so very frustrating.
 
I'm glad things got straightened out. Paper work, especially insurance, can be so frustrating!! :)
