Final Staging and Treatment Plan is In

Continued prayers for your wife and your entire family. It is great to hear that it was caught so early on. If you don't mind me asking, what were your wifes symptoms??

Melinda

Continued prayers for both of you. I'm sure you both feel better just getting the treatment schedule in place. It's the not-knowing that's usually the worst part. Tell Nicole we're all pulling for her!

Nicole had flu-like symptoms and a cough that she couldn't seem to shake. Our doctor prescribed her some antibiotics, thinking, like us, that it was the flu. When it went on for another week or so, and Nicole noticed that she was feeling fatigued fairly quickly. When she told our doctor that symptom, he asked her to go get blood tests done. One thing led to the other from there.

The saving grace during this whole time was that we were very close friends with our family doctor -- otherwise, Nicole might have put off going to see a doctor and they might not have caught it early. So we were lucky (relatively speaking). :)

Steve - I'm sorry Nicole has to go thru chemo - But, at the same time - I'm so glad for you guys that her disease was caught so early & that it has such a great prognosis.
Sending you all good spirits & many well wishes. As always, the candle is lit for your family.....

Sending your wife lots of positive thoughts and hope that she gets through all the treatment without too much discomfort.

(((((hugs))))) to you all

I remember being relieved to finally know what the course of action was, Steve. I hope that you feel the same.

The PICC line is a wonderful thing. It makes the chemo so much easier to deal with.

Continued best wishes for Nicole. :)

Continued prayers for you and your family.

Keeping a positive attitude is so very important, and you are doing a great job at that.

My continued thoughts and prayers are with you, Nicole and your family.

That is good news. And sounds they are being very cautious and hopeful!!!! Still keeping you, Nicole and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers Steve!!!

Steve. I'm adding you all to my nightly prayer list. Hoping all goes well down that long road.

Continuing to pray for your dear wife's full recovery. I hope the 8 weeks goes by really fast and as smooth as possible.

My DD had a PICC line in the hospital. It was great most of the time because they didn't have to always poke her to draw blood. The downside is the dressing has to be changed every 3 days and sometimes it gets clogged, but they can usually fix that pretty easily.

It sounds like the treatment will go by really quickly! :D Sounds like great news! Make sure Nicole gets lots of rest, and stays really positive!

Keeping everyone in my thoughts!:D

Just wanted to add my well-wishes and prayers for Nicole. It's times like this that I appreciate the DIS all the more, especially the CB, where we all know we can come and express not only our good news, but our fears and sad news as well, knowing that there is tons of support out there. Please keep posting to let us know how Nicole is doing.

prayers and PD...chemo can be so tough...but she has your wonderful support!

{{{Big hugs}}} to both of you. Tell Nicole she's a very brave lady and we're all pulling for her.
