I don't think I referred to more than "one" post - I quoted the post that WebmasterAlex was responding to in my reply..

What's that saying - "Build a field and they will come.." ??

Meringues, you can buy them in the bakery department these days but my recipe is as follows:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pre-heat the oven to 380 degrees.
Beat 3 egg whites until stiff.
Fold in 2/3 cup granulated sugar and a dash of salt.
You can add some mini mint chocolate chips and dye the eggwhites pale green for an extra punch.
Drop on a lightly greased cookie sheet (you can squeeze them from a pastry bag if you'd rather) and place in a pre-heated oven.
Turn the heat OFF and "bake" this way overnight or for at least 6 hours.
That recipe and add a little vanilla. Or go to Hanafords and buy them all done in teh cookie aisle.
Thanks! Now how do they need to be stored with the hot, humid weather coming? Lots (well actually "most") of the folks on diets up here so I'm sure they'll appreciate these for snacking on around the campfire..;)
Thanks! For some reason I'm on a "cooking binge" this year.. Will be making muffins to share with the neighbors each morning and have been working feverishly on my muffin collection.. Up to over 700 different recipes now!!!!!!!! ;)
My point exactly. What's one complaint LOL.
I'm with Robin.
This is a message board people. I post here because it's my choice. I decide to post here or not. If I don't like it I go elsewhere, I don't try to change it. Thank you GOD for the ignore button.
Tupperware or other airtight containers!!!
Oh yes, as suggested you can also add a bit of vanilla *YUM* or a drop of mint flavoring if you use plain chocolate chips.
I make these year round, but they used to be on our family holiday cookie list.
Granted, I was referring to "only one complaint" in my response, but if you go back over the posts for the past few days, you will find quite a few crabby ones.. LOL
And to "comments" made by "others":
I'll just continue to post on this board - as well as all of the others - and do my best to stay within the DIS "guidelines" (even if it is a "debate") and we'll see what happens.. Hopefully it will all be fine, but when and if I choose to leave the DIS, it will be my choice - not because someone else suggested I do so because "they" perceive my posts as "whining"..
I'm the MASTER of "whining" and if I wanted to "whine", you can bet your last dollar there would be NO question as to what I was doing.. I'm simply voicing my opinion and my concerns.. I guess I missed the part in the DIS guidelines where that is prohibited..:rolleyes:
Awww, come on Dan! This was just getting good!! I mean we're talking cookies now!!!
YUUUMMMMM!
Do you guys have debate chairpersons? I remember we used to have them back in school. So long ago, we called them chairmen back then, :eek: but so as not to create a PC sub-debate here, I decided to use the more currently preferred PC, chairperson. :)
Mostly when women are involved. Men for some reason don't talk about food, they only eat it ;)
11 of them is 70 calories. My personal best is 44. (they are small).
Shall we debate which is better..fat or sugar?
Fat. Depending on the kind. Unless you can immediately burn off the suger.
