Fiji and Tokelau room sq ft...can you tell the difference?

Well, I am "live" from a LV room in Tahiti right now. Several years ago we stayed in Tahiti, but have stayed in Hawaii four times since. (We are in Tahiti for three nights until concierge opens back up on Monday.) One of the first things my dh and I said when we came into this room was "wow! I forgot how much bigger these rooms are!!". My mom came with us one trip and used an ECV, and it was a tight squeeze leaving it charging each night between the bed and the wall in Hawaii one trip a few years ago, (and we weren't sharing the room with them!). With an ECV and 5 people, you would definitely want to try for a room in one of the bigger rooms such as in Tahiti. Of course, it's very convenient to the monorail to Epcot--we just returned from a morning there, LOL. I also like the feel of the bathroom setup with the two sinks, whether or not it's a "bigger" bathroom or not.

I agree about the dead space in the closets too--the safe in this closet is straight on in the corner of the closet, while in Hawaii, the safe is tucked around the corner from the closet doorway.

As an update on the construction: we only arrived late last night--we saw Hawaii with lights on in many rooms, including TVs running, but no people appeared to be working anywhere. You could also see a huge ladder up against a wall in the lounge, but no workers. (of course, this was at 10pm on a Friday night!) I'll take a walk over there right now.......on my way to the pool--I'll try to write more later and upload some photos when I can.
Aloha!

Thanks for the updates and the affirmation about the closets. Sort of hard to explain.

BTW, does Tahiti have the light switches above the bedside table like Rapa Nui?

Have a great stay. :sunny: See you in Hawaii next week! :cool1:

No light switches above the nightstand, but the lamps over the beds have switches on them.
Will look forward to meeting you. :)

Hmm, I wonder if the rooms we've had in Rapa Nui have the extra switches because they are accessible rooms? It is a nice feature regardless. Have fun!
