Has anyone heard if they are going to be open tommorrow? Last week I spoke to someone and they said that they were going to be moving offices on Friday. This worries me because I am waiting for a seller to sign the contract so we can get into ROFR by the 20th. Thanks for any info.

If i was you i'd give them a call tomorrow and find out. If no answer try an e-mail to your broker, but i'd try a phone call first. Especially since i know they're closed over the weekends. Good Luck!!!

If they are moving tomorrow, they literally picked the worst day of the year to do so.

I am waiting to hear on an ROFR contract from Fidelity. I emailed them yesterday just to check in, and the response I got was, "Disney is taking the full 30 days, you'll probably hear from us next week". Since I know from the ROFR thread that Disney is actually taking more like 22-25 days, I gathered that they are either busy and putting me off, or perhaps they are indeed moving.

Best of luck to you!

P.S. to Kansas City. I have some family in Liberty and it is always a fun city for us!

Thank you I need it. We live about 10 minutes away from Liberty.

I went to school in Maryville at Northwest, and spent many weekends with my cousins in Kansas City. Always enjoyed the lighting of the lights at the Plaza in November and might (I don't remember, it was college) have had a few drinks downtown at Westport. My cousin got married a few years ago and we stayed at the Marriott in the P&L District, and I can't believe how much that has been cleaned up lately.

The Power and Light is really a great area with the Sprint Center. It is a great city to raise a family.

I would be pretty hot if I missed the ROFR deadline; because, the seller failed to sign and fax the documents in time or my broker chose to move their office on the last business day of the week. Either way, I would consider pulling out of the contract if the fees were incremental and this isn't the hardest to find contract just to let everyone know my displeasure. Then, I'd simply to to a competing broker and find a different seller.

Does anybody know if Sharon still works there? I started my contract with her, but been getting e-mails from Rachael lately:confused3

Sharon is there. I have been dealing with her the last few days. I think they are open, but I am not certain.

I would be shocked if they did not stay open this weekend! As far as ROFR ours was submitted 2/22 and we heard it was going to closing company on 3/16! It was about 3 weeks. The worries I have after speaking with TSS is that it is taking about 12 days from closing company to e-mail closing docs to us and buyer (we are the seller). Of course then you have the actual closing! The TSS explained they have 6 full time people 7 days a week, closing company has 2 full timers working Mon - Fri.

I am buying through Fidelty and contract just went to ROFR on 3/11 after waiting a full 7 days for sellers to get in paper work. I have a feeling this is going to be a long painful process! They have limited employees and are not opened 7 days a week! We will see....

Along these same lines, my fidelity contract went to ROFR on 2/24. I checked on Wednesday, via email, saying "just checking in to see if you've heard anything". The response, in no uncertain terms, was "Disney is taking the full 30 days on all contracts, you should hear something next week." I responded and said, "I have been reading the ROFR thread on the disboards, and there have been many of late finding out in 20-25 days." The response I got to that was, "Well with out contracts it's been taking the full 30 days".

I suspect that, reading between the lines, Fidelity is taking the full 30 days to inform people. In other words, even if my contract is out of ROFR and sitting on their desk, they aren't going to get to me until 30 days. I chalk this up to being one of the anticipated pitfalls of buying resale, and I will still take the 30% discount on my points in exchange for a little frustration.

MJC-Mine took 28 days thru Fidelity. It's a good thing Feb is a short month,Eh? Went to ROFR 2/14 and recieved the e-mail.3/14.

While I can honestly say I wish I was dealing with TSS on my current resale contract, I've been satisfied working with Fidelity on this one.

Here's my time line for my SSR resale contract.

2/4 offer made and accepted. Contracts signed and faxed back same day by both myself and seller.

2/7 Submitted to ROFR

3/7 Passed ROFR

3/16 Closing Documents received via email.

3/17 Final payment wired and closing paperwork signed and returned via fax for closing.

3/18 email from Fidelity with receipt of documents and full payment.

4/5 tentative closing date.

All in all...... I think they are taking more time to process with the increased work load in regards to the 3/20 change announcement so try to be patient. popcorn::

I'm dealing with Fidelity as well on a resale offer that was accepted last week. Contract signed and sent back along with deposit last Fri. Supposed to get notified when sent for ROFR.........and here we are @ 1:30pm and nothing yet.

Patiently waiting.........

Its been a week, CALL and get an answer I actually had to call the contract department since agent was not getting back to me and she said she would check with agent and "light a fire under seller to make sure paper work is in" An hour later the agent called me back, 2 hours after that I got an e-mail saying it was sent to ROFR. It did take the sellers a full 7 days to get the paper work back and that was the cut off date that we could walk.

I can't believe nobody has given a definitive answer as to
  1. Whether Fidelity is/was open for business today AND
  2. Whether they will be open this weekend.
On the one hand, if they are not open March 18,19, and 20, it is just an astonishing lack of customer service.

On the other hand, if they ARE open and taking care of their customers, someone needs to post that info, because a possibly false impression is being created otherwise.

They were open for business today. I don't know about Saturday and Sunday. I asked a question I was not trying to create a false impression. I was told about a week ago that they would be changing offices on that day. The seller sent in the paperwork today and we are off to ROFR!

Great! Now the nail-biting begins. But don't worry, you'll be fine.

Thanks for posting the answer about today -- hopefully they are open on the weekend and "taking care of business."

I was told by Fidelity on Wed that at that point they couldn't guarantee that a contract would make it to ROFR b/c everything had to be in by 5PM on Friday - the last day they were open before the change. On Wednesday I called an agent I was working with back at approx 5:01 PM and she was gone for the day - no lingering around there!
