February Trip

We booked our trip for 2/4/05 just to avoid the crowds. Now I find out most Disney properties are booked for that time period. Does anyone know what's going on???? Do you think it will be very crowded?

A lot of schools went to year round schedules and people are probably going down.

We went that week last year and there were no crowds at all--we even experienced more crowds this past week!!!

Someone mentioned Mari Gras is the first weekend in Feb. You may want to check and see if that is so, if it is, that may be the case.

According to other posts I've been reading, they are having a big cheerleading competition going on and there are also several conventions

WDW ressies told me that families are booked for that weejkend(2nd on) and are staying for the following week. I heard from a friend tonight that her husband and a friend are dropping off the wives and families at the GF and returning Mon. for the rest of the week. I can't find much onsite, even checking suites and concierge. I may just forget about this trip. I was trying to get down for this coming Sat. and Sun.. Threehearts/ Susan

I think with the Superbowl being in Jacksonville that Disney could become part of their vacation too.

I was planning to go this year at this time but with Mardi Gras, the Superbowl and cheerleading going on we decided not to go.

I avoided this weekend (going next weekend instead) because of superbowl in Jacksonville. I figured people may decide to stay in Orlando and just drive to Jacksonville. The parks will be crowded probably on Sat (today) and sunday then probably die down on monday. That is my guess anyway.
