February Exercise Challenge--Let's get moving and take care of our hearts!

Hi guys! I had a slow week. I tripped over my own feet and fell hard on my left knee. We have a TON of black ice here and I heard last night that two neighbors broke their legs falling. So, I have been extra careful outside by wearing my winter boots. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn't take them off inside and the treads caught on the carpet and boom! I went down. Between the arthritis in right knee and bruising in my left knee I wasn't really up for much!

So, I managed 80 minutes.

I bought some dance sneakers for Zumba class for next week. They were expensive but I figured my knees were worth it. My running shoes kept on catching on the floor and wrenching my knees. Do you see a theme? Yup. My knees suck.

I tweaked my knee trying to avoid falling at school. I hate ice!

So another 45 minutes on stationary bike. It'll be interesting to see how far I can go this month.

Robin- hug.... I too feel your pain (literally). Thanks for the idea about dance sneakers. I actually have some from my college dance team days. I never thought to wear them for Zumba!

Be careful everyone! Take care of yourselves so we can stay active and healthy. Rest, ice, stretch and all that.
