February 9, 2012 3 Night Bahamian Dream Cruise

In what order does Disney send out cruise documents and luggage tags. Nothing has been sent to me in MN yet.

Usually, the cruise docs include the luggage tags. They come in a pocket in the front. There are 2 luggage tags for each member in your party.

I am starting to get really excited - we are almost 1 month out! At first, I was kind of bummed about it only being a 3-night getaway, but as it gets closer, I am starting to get excited!!! Any day on the cruise ship is better than a day at home or work :)

Adding me (Grandma Debbie), my cousin-in-law and co-worker (Grandma Sue), my grandkids Damien (15), Tyson (12), Danica (11) and Sue's grandkids Ethan (7) and Kaitlynn (9). Did my "research" cruise on the Dream (my 5th so I am now a gold member) December 26-29 with my cousin and 20 yr old niece. I learned so much about the ship and will be the smartest Grandma on the ship!

Hi this will be our 1st family cruise(I went on one about 20 yrs. ago with friends)so looking forward to it! It will be my DH,DSD22,DS13,and DS5.As you can see we have a wide range of childrens ages:).We decided to surprise the kids with our 1st family trip ever to Disney, but since there was so little time and soooo many options,we decided on a cruise. This way half the trip is already planned?I've enjoyed reading up on the crusies and love the personal posts. Its been part of the excitement for me,my husband thinks I'm nuts for being on the computer AGAIN.My son laughed when he saw me writing down tips. The little guy is excited but anything gets him going!

Welcome to the Disboard!!! :cool1: Welcome to the cruise also!!!

This is out 3rd Disney Cruise, first on the Dream. I have a DS 18 and DS 12 that will be with us. Just over 30 days. :thumbsup2

I'm starting to put together our FE gifts, and I was wondering when the list becomes "final". I don't want to order things and not have enough. I also wondered if others will have out FE's or only our little group on the list..I was thinking if there are others, I may make a lil something to stick in random FE's near us. Thanks!

I would say 30 days out is a good cut off with the option for others to join with the understanding they might not receive from all parties. At least this way it allows those who arrive late to the party a chance to join in on the fun.

Welcome Aboard! :thumbsup2

You think he is excited now wait until he sees the ship for the first time as you approach it from the highway!! It still makes me jump for joy .... which is why my DW usually drives there. :lmao:

Good point. :thumbsup2

I always bring a few extra items for "just in case". From my experience the FE sharing is a DISBoard "thing" so you will not see anyone else doing it. I do not believe that there is another group from the DISBoards going on this cruise. Usually if someone starts another thread they get connected to the other thread and sometimes merged.

It also still makes me jump for joy as well :yay:

It will, however, be different to see the Dream sitting there instead of the Magic or Wonder :boat:

Hello, new to the disboard! My husband, daughter, and I are excited about our cruise on the new Disney Dream! We have been on one disney cruise before. A friend told me that I should join this board to connect with potential disney friends/cruise mates. My daughter will be boarding as an only child. She is 10 years old. I hope that she will enjoy some of the disney club activities, but worried that she will be a little anxious joining in by herself. Any other 8-12 year old girls that would be interested in e-mailing/meeting before boarding?

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out what movies will be playing on our cruise before we depart?

My DD8 Amanda and DD5 Katelyn will be on this cruise. I've lurked this post but haven't posted much. This will be our 10th DCL cruise and 2nd on the Dream- our 1st Dream was a 5 day June 2011 we were in an inside cabin on deck 7 midship. We are FL residents and so we got lucky and jumped at the offer when they ran the FL Res special for the Cat5. This trip we will be spoiled on deck 10 (forward). We will be with a group of 8 others (all adults) which includes 2 hearing impaired people.

Is there going to be a group meet somewhere once we board? grayson02 maybe our DD8 / girls can meet up then - our DD5 likes to hang with the big kids but if there is someone with a DD5 she could meet a new friend also. We have always done 2nd seating but this trip we are going to try 1st seating. I didn't participate in the FE because I am so busy with work I'll be lucky to find time to get our suitcases packed before the kids go to sleep the night before we leave. We live about 3 hours from the port. See you all real soon!!!

Welcome to the boards!

My DD, Tatiyana, will be turning 10 the week before we sail. I'm sure she would love to meet/email with your daughter. Tati is also an only child but is very social and usually makes friends very easily.

This is our 11th DCL cruise and we were booked for a Cat11 from our last cruise before the Florida resident deal came out. :woohoo: Now we too are on Deck 10!

I really hope that we do have a meet for a photo op sometime. :chat:
