February 23, 2008 Magic Western

Elizabeth, do you remember what time you arrived at the terminal to get your boarding pass? We are going to be staying very near by, but I don't want to be sitting around forever waiting for 12:00 you know? By the way I can't believe Riley has a paper chain going too! That cracked Julia and me up! :rotfl2:
Michelle :)

Hi Michelle,

We took the 2nd bus from MCO on Saturday morning - it left at 9:45 am and arrived about an hour later, so I guess that makes it 10:45 that we arrived at the terminal. I am determined to get there at 10 am this year - we have a limo scheduled for a 9 am pickup at our hotel near the airport, so that should be good! There's so much to do at the terminal that the time will go quickly - we never even got a chance to really hang out at the model of the ship or get pictures with the characters. By the time I got through the reservation line and we had the pager and arm bands for the kids, we grabbed a soda and went outside for some pictures and before we knew it they were calling out numbers and off we went!

One more question: When the kids are in the kids' club, are they able to eat there? If so, meals or just snacks? Thanks!

Kristin

There are meals at the clubs - sometimes they have them brought to the club and sometimes they go to one of the restaurants - either they go before the main seating times, or they go up to the buffet at Topsiders. The choices are the standards on the kids' menu - pizza, chicken fingers, mac & cheese etc. So definitely, kids can eat at the clubs, as long as they like those options.

Hi,
I wanted to post and introduce our family. There will be 6 of us travelling. It will be me (40), my husband (Tim- 40), our twin daughters (Haley and Jordan- 7) and our sons (Caleb and Noah- 4). We live in Burleson, Texas, which is just south of Fort Worth. Laurie

Hi Laurie,

Welcome to the group! I have added you to the official roster on Page 21. The kid list keeps growing!!!!

Thank you Elizabeth, that's good to know.

Laurie,
Welcome! My son Parker is turning 5 next week, I'm sure he will love playing with Caleb & Noah. We moved from Austin, Texas to Michigan almost 2 years ago. I am so over the thrill of seeing snow, I miss the Texas winters! We look forward to seeing y'all.

Kristin

Has anyone gotten their cruise docs yet?? :confused3

Hey everyone!

We received our cruise docs today by UPS. :flower3: Through a foot of snow and everything.
We're getting very excited, it is starting to feel very real now. :beach:

I saw the posts about receiving the cruise docs and was a little sad I hadnt gotten mine yet. DH grabs the mail from the front and then walks around to the back so I decided to check again... and there they were stuck between the doors!! Yippee!!

2 weeks from today guys!!!!!  Can you believe it!!!
I went thru a TA so I am hoping for a phone call about my docs SOON!!! Have a great day everyone!!

I have found a couple of discussions about disney cruises that have been really good.

:wizard: The first is about the  Autographed Pillowcases and Picure Mattes:love: We had our son take a pillowcase on his first cruise it was returned to him at the end of the cruise and it looks awesome.

There are a number of great pictures on this thread

NOTE: since my post count is too low you will have to ADD the www and delete the spaces by the slashes:

:wizard: Here is a thread I came across with some helpful tips -- I'm sure there are many more out there.. but here's one I just enjoyed tonight and wanted to share:
cruisemates.com / forum / viewtopic.php?p=3593642

NOTE: since my post count is too low you will have to ADD the www and delete the spaces by the slashes

:wizard: One more tip I saw the other day... bring highlighters to highlight the activities you want to do each day.... you can bring 2 different colors... maybe pink (for her) and yellow (for him)... then whatever you both want to do... color with both highlighters and it becomes orange.

I hope these links give you some ideas. Has anyone else come across any other good tips?

Can't wait for the cruise!

See you all soon!

Hello,
This is my first post, hopefully, it finds the right place. I have been reading the boards and too nervous to post so here goes. We will be traveling also with DISNEYTRACEYL if I can't get this done right!
Mousecruzer party of 4 includes:
DH Jim (40)
me, Raeanne (37)
DD Allison (10)
DD Mallory (8mo)

DH has now been reading the boards and is all excited about the fish extenders. Is it too late to be added to the FE list?

We are also from Upper Michigan and the below zero temps are really getting us ready for our first Disney Cruise:cheer2:

Well, I just checked the Disney website and it stated Main Seating for Dinner so I guess they came through and switched us. I recommend that everyone check who requested a switch. It looks like they are just getting around to doing this now.

We are all so excited - 11 days and counting. Now we just have to pray for good weather so that our flights make it in time!!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at 3 pm by the Goofy pool!!
 :woohoo:

Just love the sight of the guy in the brown truck!!! Just got our cruise documents - everything looks great! We saw the UPS truck slow down, then went to neighbor's first - they're traveling with us! so excited:goodvibes :goodvibes

All right, Andrea! I am so happy for you! :thumbsup2 It sounds like they are doing it by priority, as hoped. Ours is still showing the late seating and if we are not switched, we will manage. I'm not going to get stressed about that. With -30 temps this morning to add to the 6 foot snowbanks on our street :sad2:, and getting stuck in my garage (frozen shut), I am just THRILLED to be getting away from winter for awhile!!!

Hope our girls can meet up this week at school.... :confused3

If not, we will see you on the ship! :boat:

Corinne :hippie:

Corrine:

Paige will be at school all of this week (Tues/Thurs). My husband will be taking her tomorrow but Kelly will be taking her on Thursday so if you want to look for her then. They are by the kindergarten area. I have already told Kelly to keep a look out. She went back to her the MiniSkool when I was on maternity leave with Tessa so she was with Chloe when she was about 3 probably so she might recognize her.

We are so excited!!!!

Yes, I also cannot believe this weather - we chose well to get away in February 2008. I can't remember when in the last 15 years we have had this much snow in SW Ontario. We had to bring the cans of paint in from the attached garage before they froze!

Florida - here we come!:beach:

PS - Also got our docs today, except the Bahamas form was missing ....

Hi Raeanne, Jim and Family:

I have added you to the cruise roster on Page 21 of the thread. If Allison has time, tell her to find the Feb 23, 2008 KIDS thread, and she and Madeleine (and Emma?) can "chat".

Thanks for adding our names to the list Elizabeth,
I forgot to mention that we will be on deck 7, room 7041 (cat 11).
We also plan on staying at the Country Inn and Suites the night before boarding the ship.
Thanks for the tip about the kids thread. I will put Allison to work soon! She is so excited, but then again, we all are!
Rae
