February 2014 Code watch

We just decided to take DD for her 20th Birthday, first week of Feb. We are so excited, we have only been to WDW in June. So we are really looking forward to lower crowds and cooler weather. I hope I can get an ADR for BOG the day of her birthday!:) This may be the last time in awhile, that we can all go together.

Pixie dust and hopes you get the ADR. We too will be going for the first time in Feb instead of the hot summer. I can't wait!

subbed! excited for this trip. we usually go in oct/nov for the food and wine fest so we are mixing things up this time!

You guys will LOVE going at that time of year. You get really get more "bang for your buck" because you spend so much less time in line and trying to avoid the heat. Enjoy!!

Have you ever been for the half marathon before? We're going down that weekend, though not for the marathon, and it looks like the crowds may be pretty hefty. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I've done the Princess race 3 years in a row, and it definitely makes it a little more crowded, but not too bad. This year, they are allowing participants to choose any of the resorts, which should spread the crowd more evenly.

I'm going solo this year for the first time, def have some jitters about that, but it's too awesome of an event to pass up simply because I couldn't find anyone to go with :)

My friend and I just decided to go for the half marathon as well. Hoping for either an AP discount or BB discount from my Dec. trip. Fingers crossed and hoping I can get in shape for the run!

You will love it! That race is the best I've ever done :)

New here, what is an AP and BB discount?

New here, so just wondering what an AP and BB discount is?

AP= Annual Passholder (tickets you can buy that cover your park entry for a year; a good deal if making multiple trips in one year; they often get separate discount offers)
BB= Bounce Back (a discount often available in your resort hotel room for your next trip that you must book before checking out)

I heard that too. Im so excited. I also heard that they offering fd to uk residents for early 2014. Yay

I always do Disney races solo. It's fun to be able to do whatever you want, whenever you want.

That said, the Disboards WISH Team presence at the race means you never have to be alone. Plus, there's likely to be a meet-up before the race (a meet and greet) If you haven't checked out that forum--and the threads for Princess-check it out. Here's a link to the Princess thread.

Should we book the package on the 10th and the call to apply any promos or wait anxiously biting my finger nails until the 180 mark?

I always book first and apply promos as they come out. As long as the promo is available for your resort and room choice, you'll have no problems. I've had my room only res for next Feb booked since April :)

I always book then apply discounts. That way i can do my adrs. When the promos come out it is super easy to call and apply it. I have noticed that feb promos usually come out from sept-november.

Thanks for the response. Guess I'll be up at the crack of dawn on the 10th.

I do have one more question: I'll be booking 2 rooms for our group. Will I have to put down a $200 deposit per room? Or just per reservation?

Thanks in advance!
