Sabrina- I think you must be soo used to the earthquakes every 10 years. I like hurricanes-you see them coming, you know how bad they will be for the most part, you LEAVE town ASAP when they look like coming your way and the bad ones come every 30-40 years.
Is there any warning system for earthquakes??? Is there an earthquake "season"? I am asking seriously b/c I have no idea.
I must say that it is the most beautiful thing
I have ever seen besides my children and want to get my DH and kids out there to see Bodega Bay, etc... The vineyards were beautiful and stinky(vinegary), but I don't need to see it again. DH would like to see it once, though. When the time comes, I will hunt you down on the Disboards for places to stay out there that are reasonable by the coast-Bodega, Sebastopol-all up in there and more north. I would love to see those huge redwoods. We never found them as much as we drove around. We drove one night into San Francisco over the GG bridge and turned around b/c it was dark!! We didn't know where to go, so we headed back to Santa Rosa!
I was also surprised how FLAT Denver was. I mean, I know we were only at the airport, but there were thousands of homes on flat earth, far from the airport, no trees, or very little. it looked like the desert to me. I did see many homes in the beginning of the mountains, but not as many as on the ground. I thought maybe I was on the wrong side of the plane, but I was facing the other side on the way home and it wasn't much different.
I had this vision of Denver being in the middle of a mountain range. It was desert all the way then where the mountains started, Denver was right before them and a little into the mountains. It amazes me how desolate our country is in the middle, at least where I flew over from NOLA to Denver, then on to Oakland. We are so packed and busy down here with so much water and trees. It was a lovely flight and I loved seeing our country from the air-wishing I could get closer.
Well, i haven't had to productive of a day-see ya!!
On to tomorrow
