We're there on 2/2 with y'all!!! No, Rees is not doing well. We are still in the hospital and I have no idea when we'll be home. Disney is one bright spot on the radar at the moment.

Good just trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy the airfare Delta has now for $228 nonstop. I paid $198 last year but really dont know if it is going to go any lower.

Hello peeps,

I'm new here & dont quite understand all the jargon but I catch on quick. I have been lurking for a week or so, reading through all the different posts trying to get a clue.

My fam & I are planning to stay 3 or 4 days during the last part of Feb 08'. I'm toying with the idea of either the Carribean Beach, POP, or Beach Club. Now, obviously there is a great range of price there & want to seek advice. Also, how to you get a code? I'm not a FLA res, & dont have the Dis Visa card, so I know I have to get a public code somehow. Just not sure how to go about it and what they all mean.

We did visit in 2003 with 2 young children & stayed 1 night at Port Orleans FQ & was a nice change from the ASM in which we honeymooned in 1997. This year the kids will be 8 & 6 and should be able to enjoy it a lot more . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It does seem good, prices normally go down to around there after labor day, this year they went up to $420, so I have to make my decision today so I can get that rate.

I was going to do the red eye on the 30th, but decided to just take the day flight on the 31st and relax the first day at POP.

There is a gen. public code out right now for packages during your timeframe, it has to be booked by 12/15. Follow this link-

I'm not sure if there are any room only codes out for your timeframe, what dates are you looking at?

Do you have AAA? Also, if you scroll up to the top of the page, over to the right where it says log out, underneath that it says discounts, click that and you should see any discounts that are going on!!!

That looks good. We do have AAA, but I've heard you cant get the code & AAA discount together, right? Also, when do you give the code? If I choose to book it through WDW site can I enter the code then? Also, is there a place I can play with the res & enter the code to see the discount & diff in price before booking?

We are looking at Feb 18 - 20 or 21. 4 day stay will depend on how the numbers shake out.

You are right, you cannot use 2 discounts together! But, for us the AAA rate was better than the discount. We are at AKL and actually there were NO rooms avail. for my dates with the discount, also, we ran the numbers and the AAA rate was better than the hopper savings anyway!!!
I think the disney code is a much better deal for mods and AS's. As for when you give the code, I don't know if you can "enter" it online, I think actually it's automatic. I've always called CRO and asked if there are any rooms/packages avail. at XXX resort using code XXX. Again, I think if you look at WDW online, what you are quoted will be the right price, I'm pretty sure it automatically shows the disc. room rate. Plus, the hoppers and all that are free, so you wouldn't add those.

I always like to talk to a real person when booking - I don't do it online - I have too many questions running around in my head!! LOL

Also, If I were you and was hoping to use the discount, I'd book ASAP!!! The # of rooms alloted for the discounts book up fast! I know a LOT of people have already booked for Feb. - most of us here who are going in Feb. have been booked for many months and when the code came out, a lot just had it applied to what they had already booked.

Yeah, it looks like we are leaning towards the CB or POP and according to you its probably better to book through WDW than AAA for mods/AS. I guess I'll call to see if the rooms are available. Thanks!

I wanted to let you know that I have the AP rate for Sunday through Thursday nights and they kept my AAA rate for the weekend nights. I guess it is not comboed for the same nights, and that is why they never changed that??!!

PRAYING FOR REES!!! I KNOW how it feels to "live" in the hospital-it stinks, esp when you have no control.

That is why I need the good Lord so badly!!
And now I have PTSD from the whole journey!! It is getting better, day to day. If you all see me crying my head off in Disney, you'll know they are happy tears!!

Haa!!! well, I am on a budget right??... well, it is gonna be tough, I know!!! We'll see, once I get there, I am not gonna worry too much about my budget-but that scares me NOW!!! I gotta' be strong .... yet that whole trip will have me emotional and I could make some off the rocker decisions... hmmmmm......I DID spend 3 years making crazy choices during those "I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow" chemo days-I may cave... THAT is why I am working my tail off now!!
