ok- first, thanks! now i can start to organize our goods...Yes i am a SHOPPER....lol...So WHO/ WHAT Fish Extender are you all USING? I just found a SUPER cute one to use ( mickey mouse) for 4.50+SHIP....

The resourceful person i am found it on ebay..BUT just typed in pocket holder...... there are a ton of choices and considering if it gets stolen etc..I didnt want to pay $20/30.00 Id rather spend that money elsewhere! .... i have heard people steal these ANYHOW, if you are a BARGAIN shopper like me..here are some LINKs to some...I also have fabric Paint somewhere and will put our names on it..........

Hi! We are also on this cruise, and from reading through all of the posts, it looks like we are going to have a great time!

This is our first cruise, and it seems as though we are in the minority coming from South Carolina. We have lots of family in Massachusetts though, so I think we will fit in OK!

It will be my DH and myself as well as our 2 children who would love to be part of the fish extenders.

I vote to leave the FE as is. Having seen the preliminary list, I prepared for about this many kids anyway. If you bring small, lightweight items, they will easily fit in your suitcase. And then the kids will have surprises waiting for them that much more. My last FE was for everyone in the cabin (WAY more than 33), and it was so fun and exciting to arrive at the room and find goodies waiting for us!

you distribute whenever you feel like it...hopefully not the last dayPersonally, I plan on using my early wake-up habits to explore the ship and distribute goodies....my DGD (Little ZuZu) will of course, help with some of them so that she understands the process.......giving and receiving

If we are voting now, I vote for splitting the list (as it is now or IF it grows more) in half. We could divide the cabins by deck or randomly.....whatever.

DENISE: IF we're voting, do you want to handle the vote or is this overwhelming? Your call........

Anyway, we are in room 5013.

I would not be opposed to splitting the FE list. With 33+ kids that is a lot of stuff ....do we need to plan on an extra bag to get stuff home?

It has been suggested that we have a meet on sail-away day. I, who know nothing about this stuff, wondered if we won't be very buy the first day....

BUT, it makes sense that we meet on day one to review any room changes...

We have only been on 1 past Disney Cruise so i By NO MEANS am an expert... Just telling you what we did the last time....
The last Cruise we MET at 4pm at a certain location up on one of the top decks for the sailway party and all were supposed to wear Something LIME GREEN ( the official color of the DIS) Didnt happen..

*I* Had a Hard time knowing if THOSE people
were with the DIS group or not.....That was my ONLY GRIPE....wasnt really sure if that was the group meeting so i dont recall really chumming up with everyone...in the NEXT few days we had arranged a party fr adults in one of the suites and thats Really when i met everyone- that was GREAT Because I KNEW i was in the right spot................

So my only Suggestion is that need to meet and make sure we ALL Know WHO We are !!! Not sure HOW to do that ..

Anyhow...good point....need a spot (I've seen people mention locations for their meets but didnt pay attention)


Further, I had this thought early today:

we need to confirm participants in the FE. that is, people may have said yes to the FE and then changed their mind....or their reservations......I propose that, unless the room number is provided by some date (maybe Dec 16th?) the people in question are OFF THE LIST.............no sense buying for people who aren't serious.....that is, even those who provided room numbers, kids names, ages months ago would have to confirm the info (by Jan 16th?) in order to be on list.....that also might weed out people who truly anticipated participating but can't be bothered getting their stuff together...........

Thanks for the list and all the work. Just one correction, our DS Daniel (5) is listed as a girl and he is all boy. We are in room 2118. His sister Elizabeth (8) is a girl. Both are getting very excited. As for the FE, we are fine with the current list but are prepared to split it up if people prefer.

As for a meet, I know when we were on RCI earlier this year there was an early meet near the pool but it was so early many people were not yet onboard or settled in. We then got together at one place for the sailaway but did not really know each other. We only met up at an official Cruise Critic meet and greet at about the 1/2 way point, then we could suddenly put faces to names. It worked because we had a bar to ourselves so we knew everyone was in the group. That probably would not work here so I would suggest either Sunday morning before we arrive in Key West or the next day which is a sea day.

As for potential room changes, I know RCI and Carnival both had message boards near the Guest Relations desk so I wonder if Disney does the same. If so, anyone who's room changes could post a note there to say it. Everyone could check the first night to if anyone changed.

I am sure there are brighter ideas but these are my thoughts.

I would be more up for a meet on Key West morning or sea day. When we 1st get on the ship, I have a bunch I need to do, including a nap for my little one. I won't have time to meet that day, but do want to meet you guys. I vote no for lime green too.

I personally think Jan 16 is wayy to late- I need to start getting MY fE stuff ready- so the sooner the better on the final list!

Dec 6 is the 75 day/final payment mark so i say re-check the list/ make sure who is on the list is going to participate still and have it final by dec 8/9....

Just checking in to say we are still on for the FE, Joseph and Vincent Room #6062, as are our friend's children, Nicholas and Brianna Room #6060. We'd love to meet up with everyone, but seeing as this is our first cruise ever I'm not sure how Day 1 pre sailaway party will work for us. Maybe Sunday morning would work best. Soooo exciting to read all the energy on the board now that we are getting close - can't wait!!! Almost forgot - we're fine with either splitting the FE list or leaving it as is - sorry for the indecision!

One of our ressies is 10 am day 2 (Sun) for brunch so we wouldn't be able to meet up then. I like the idea of meeting up later the 1st day (Sat) so the kids see familiar faces in the Oceaneer club and lab.

I like the idea of splitting the FE list in 1/2. My kids could be totally overwhelmed by the volume of gifts in the FE and lose the meaning of it.

A few flakes are flying by my window too Denisees. What a great day to play in NYC - have fun! Love how the city does up Christmas and other holidays!
