February 19, 2011 Magic Western - Presidents of the Caribbean!

I was up at midnight booking excursions. Not planned to do it that way, but my little one was up so late. We are booked for the 1st (I think 1st) sting ray activity at Castaway Cay at 10 am. Anyone else here book that?
It exciting to be at this point & able to do more to prepare for our trip.
It's 7 degrees here in Chicago & I hate it! I'm sure you Northeast people will be getting this by tomorrow. Can't wait to be on the ship!

Hi, Just checking in. Sorry to be a lurker on this board, but work has kept me running at full speed all year.

For the FE, we are still in 2072, and DD Kyra is still 6. I'm okay with leaving the list as is.

We still haven't told DD about the trip, but will probably do it this week so she can be part of choosing the excursions. She's a fish so I suspect we will be doing a lot of snorkeling.

Hi all -comp is on the fritz so I am doing this through the phone! -- will update the final FE as soon as it is up and running. So it seems that on mulitiple boards it is cheaper to book outside of DCL--for excursions.... do you experienced cruisers find it to be true? I am looking at the trolly tour- key West-- that turtle farm in Grand Cayman- and I am still looking into the rest..... Any advice?

I am doing Boatswain's Marine Park on our own. It's a big savings, like $150! Plus, there's a free shuttle to Boatswain's at the pier.

ok first - sorry bob315- Daniel is back to B-- think i just hit the wrong one by mistake! what do I do from the ones we haven't heard from at all??? I know some do not have the rm # yet but are a def yes for the FE.....perhaps people dont ck the boards as some of us?? should i stop giving the benefit of the doubt?
also Mdezot-- you gave me your rm # 5013-- do i have your kids info??? cant find it anywhere but perhaps I didnt look well enough!!?? so please give me that info. Also 2 new additions on the bottom so keep that in mind...
what to do.... split or not?? if it stays with everyone listed as of now maybe we split?? only bc how in the world are we fiiting all that stuff in our suitcases??? however if the people who have been MIA and still have no rm #s maybe we just keep it? it will knock off about 8 or so.....

Yeah....the room number conundrum..............

because of the holidays, etc, some people do not check boards as often....

of course, some people may have said yes and then decided they can't be bothered.....

need some tough love here, In think, Denise.........

set a date....maybe dec31 (that gives people the Holiday period to check in)..post it on main boards and here, that unless room number is given OR a GTY indication, they will be dropped from the list.....this, of course, louses up those of us who need to know how many gifts to buy.....

maybe make the deadline just a week away?

whatever.....................

as of now, we have 1 more split the list votes....that is 2-NO 5-YES


someone make a choice (DENISE...hint hint) and make it soon so we can move on and enjoy they holidays and the cruise prep with a little less stress (maybe)

I took the liberty of posting on the main boards about the room confirmation...

while I feel bad for people, I also feel bad for those people who are spending money on gifts for people who won't be there....

I have posted at least twice about the meet boards and FE list on main boards before today...

if cruisers are so disinterested.....

the only other measure would be to pm each person and I'm not doing it

further, if they don't read the main boards, they won't get their pm's either

Me? I have gone bonkers on the door magnets. I orginally thought "hey just a few" Now I have made way too many!! The kids & Aunties will love them...guess I do too!

I booked excursions & such but sadly the ONE we all really wanted was full! Dolphin adventure & turtle farm in Grand Cayman. I am so bummed. Hoping when we put all 6 of us on the wait list a miracle will occur!

Hello,

My children are Jacob (10) and Elise (9). We are in room 5013 and they are listed about halfway down on the Fe list.

On another note, we were able to book Palo brunch for Sunday. I think we will be fine right???We just plan on exploring Key West a little on our own.
