Speaking of final FE list, please add my DS7 James in room 6132. Just paid the final balance today. Yay! Now starting to get anxious about which port excursions to book. I always find something to worry about

should we try to get the word out on the main board- or just hope any newbies sign on by this week??? i know, i know-- i get soft on these things- but shouldnt budge!!!-- cant help it I will work on the list tomorrow and send an update before the final closeout on the 1st--- still need more room #s though!!!!!

here is what we are doing- we tried to DO TOO Much the last cruise:


We aren't doing any Disney excursions this time ( at all! ) Not palo or any other excursions through Disney....Here's what we are doing! (we are husband & wife in our 30s and son 11, daughter 9)



Key West we are winging it and are just going to ride the train around and take the kids to the aquarium.....Nothing really much that day- since its our first day on the ship, don't want to plan much.



Grand Canyam: I booked our own Snorkel excursion with all 4 of us-
We dont have to be at the meeting spot until 9.15...snorkel is from 10-1:

Cozumel..... Again...we are on own own and have decided to spend the day here: Paradise Beach...Lots of awesome water toys and VERY inexpensive, plenty to do for all of us!!

Castaway Key- we are again just hanging out! last time i WAYYY Overbooked activities...so this time, i am trying this route........

PAID IN FULL!!! I tried to yesterday, but their computers were down. B/c I paid for the whole cruise w/my Disney Visa, I got $50 OBC for the cruise.
I am so excited to be able to book excursions & start online check in next week!!!
I found out a high school friend of my DH's is going on the western carib cruise too, but a few weeks b4 us. Too bad we couldn't have planned it for the same week.
Those of you doing ports on your own, are you buying tickets online ahead of time or paying when you get there? We will go to the Key West Aquarium & we can buy tickets online for cheaper. Just wondering on how soon I should buy them.

ok, so I am getting so excited at this point I can hardly wait for Feb!

Today I printed out & laminated a bunch (4) of the ears for the door/room # porthole for our room & the Aunties room. I also went to Home Depot & grabbed a bunch of their mickey ears paint chips to do the same with. I know we cannot tape stuff but I figured I would just add magnets too the backs. I read a bit about the magnetic printer paper & it seems like it smudges & doesnt stick too well.

I tried to order some room stuff last night for the Aunties & kids but you have to eithercall or fax the order. DUMB! Why cant oyu just fill out an online order form or do it through the DCL website???

Any other tips of what to bring or do? I heard there are free soft drinks on certain floors but you have to pay by the pool. Guess I'll be bringing hubby's diet coke from another floor!

Those of you doing ports on your own, are you buying tickets online ahead of time or paying when you get there? We will go to the Key West Aquarium & we can buy tickets online for cheaper. Just wondering on how soon I should buy them.

I am booking all my own..ALOT cheaper! For the stingrays, i already booked them....Paradise beach is pay when you get there- but its been researched and the Key West Aquarium is Cheaper if you buy online...BUT not sure if i want to buy them in case our plans change........

The only problem was that none of our kids wanted to get off the ship at the ports because they were having too much fun on the ship! This time we might actually book some excursions - last time we just winged it. Has anyone done any of the dolphin excursions? If so, was it worth the cost?

So glad to see that there are kids around the same age. The last time we didn't see my oldest son at all because he spent so much time in the kid's club! I'm hoping for the same thing this time!!

okay so since i got the OK from you wcw-- I am going to extend the FE deadline to 12/6----tonight when I have a min to breathe after the kiddies go to bed i will send out the updated list and then we will close it out next monday the 6th. So excited-- I found some really cute FE things bc stocking stuffers are out and they make really cute little gifts for the exchange-- i think i am making goodie bag type things-had every intention to be "martha" and make homemade things- but who am I kidding w/ all the holiday stuff now! Kids are excited too!!!--
thanks for the ideas for the excursions- I think I am not going to go crazy with the planning either but the Aquarium sounds fun and maybe the Stingray thing-- beach sounds fab in Cozy.....

i too Booked PALO for Brunch... not fancy people, but thought we should try it.... i think we booked it @ 1130am( we will use it like Lunch) think we booked it while at sea on thursday i think.........

like wcw mentioned as well-- my daughters would also love to meet up with kids with similar ages- mine are 7 and 4 but have friends a few yrs younger/older than them too!! maybe ahead of time?? break the ice a little??? they always wind up warming up and meeting friends the last days of the trip and then are so sad they have to leave cannot play longer and didnt make friends sooner.....

are we still meeting up to meet the fellow "Presidents" disboards for adults too-- we can always do it together or just adults or just little ones at some point?? I think it will help the little ones!

have to admit-- its been almost a year of planning and being on this site and i am going to be really sad when its all over....

I personally would just Like to see everyone at the Sailaway Party- it seems EVERYONE usually participates in that and they may be the best ice breaker..Id love to just meet up, say HI so that when we see other out and about we all can say hi...Also, so all the kiids can meet the 1st day and atleast Know Someone in the CLUBS!!
