Feb. 6, 2015 5- night Caribbean: I Wonder who's On Board?

Sorry these useless replies are coming slowly -- daughter is running a fever and needs lots of cuddles. Hard to type and cuddle.

I like the idea of 15 cabins per group, I think that idea works well. Of course, if there are only 18 cabins that are signed up, then of course it could be one group. :)

Booking the 2/1 and 2/6 as a back to back. Our 1st and 2nd cruises were 7 days, then we did 8, and now moving on to 10! ( hoping DH will try to top it again next time). We always cruise with my dad who will be almost 70. (mom passed away a couple years ago). Also traveling with us is my DH Mike, myself Amber and our kids. Our oldest (21 yr old son) has been in college since we started cruising so this will be him and his girlfriends 1st cruise ever!! I can't wait to show him around <3 2nd oldest is 19, and he is bring his girlfriend as well. He LOVES DCL and told us he isn't getting left out just because he moved out! This will be his 1st cruise when he is too old for the Vibe, which he loved. But he is an old soul and will be happy just sunning and enjoying the other awesome stuff on board. Then there's our twins who will be 17- boy and girl- they love the Vibe! Next is our DS who will be 14, it's his first time in the Vibe and he's crazy excited. He didn't like the 11-13 yr old club on any of the cruises, it was a bit young for his personality. Finally is the "baby" MacKenzie who will be 10. She will be in a princess dress every night for dinner.
My family is very fun- they love dressing up every night for dinner, love wearing full pirate costumes on pirate night, and just getting into the vibe of the cruise.
We've been to Grand Cayman and loved it, Cozumel and didn't, and never done Castaway Cay.
We've done Palo dinner and brunch- both are incredible.
Ok, that's us! See you real soon ;)

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

That would be great if she could have a friend. She is an only baby and I stay at home so she doesn't get as much interaction with other children as I'd like. We do have play groups, but its not the same.

Her birthday is 7/04 -- about 2 months older than your little one. Technically she's not exactly 2.5 years on the cruise, but pretty close! The months don't matter as much after they're two.

Yay! I'm a stay at home mom too! We will definitely have to meet! We do a class at a place called MyGym - she loves it :) can't wait for the cruise!

This will be our first cruise

DH, DW, DD (9) DS (7)

We are super excitied

Alaskanabbott...We also have a 21 year old, 19 year old, and 10 year old (none in between though). Sadly, the 21 and 19 year old will not be joining us as of this moment. I can't talk either one into it. I have weird kids, I know! It isn't often you run into someone who has a range of children like ours so I just wanted to say, "Hi" and hope to meet you on our cruise!! :)

Yay! Well the 19 year old just committed yesterday and put his deposit down- that's how much he loves to cruise! The 21 year old may be up in the air still- he is midway through his application with the Alaska State Troopers, it's a process that takes about a year, and if he gets hired he will leave for the academy in September, so he isn't sure he wants to fully commit.
Is your 10 yr old a girl or boy? My daughter loves to make friends onboard!

Our whole family is also going on the Wonder Feb. 6th, 2015! We have reserved three cabins... for my husband (Ron) and myself (Tammy).... for our sons Tony (29) and Todd (27), and the last one for our daughter Jessica (26) and son-in-law, Jason. It will be their first cruise.. so we are really excited to take them. :cool1:
It's going to be an awesome cruise!

By the way... we are new to Disney cruising. What is the Fish Extender thing? Thanks! :confused3

We are booked and ready for the Feb. 6th 2015 cruise. This is our first cruise for my husband and I. I'm interested in the fish extenders. How do I sign up? How large are the groups? I'm hearing about people who pack a whole extra suitcase for their gifts and that seems a bit intimidating to me (being I haven't done this before). But I would like to give it a shot, where do I go to sign up?

My ancestors (great-grandparents) are from Canada. Do I count? :)

DH and I are booked on the 2/6 and 2/11 cruises as a B2B for our 3rd anniversary. We've actually been together for 17 years, but that whole same sex marriage thing got in the way.

This was an OBB for us. Had our first DCL cruise on the 5 day Western Caribbean (Cozumel run) in Feb 2014 and really had a blast. Can't wait for 9 days this time.

Danielle - Wow - you do a lot of cruising - I'm very much the rookie with all of this. Can you answer a couple of FE questions for me? I signed up both myself and my husband. When we get the list of who's in the group, do we do 2 gifts for each person since we are both signed up? Is there a price range on what to spend on each one or can we do as we please? (My head is filling up with all sorts of ideas already and not sure if I should start anything yet.) Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi! Lol...all that cruising is really over a span of four years...hahahaha...we love to travel!

For the FE - you literally can do whatever you like! That is the best part :) We usually give a gift to the cabin and then a gift to each kid. We deliver once per cruise. We have never done a gift from each of us but you certainly can if you like. As for cost, we have literally received everything from a ziploc bag full of candy to a $15 dollar Christmas ornament. It really is anything goes. On the last cruise we were on, there was a small group of only 6 cabins and people were extremely generous to my daughter who was 15 months at the time. We received little people toys, books, sand toys, a princess nightlight, Tinkerbell plastic bowls, a rapunzel themed sippy cup. It was like Christmas every time we came back to the room! Last time I started making my gifts early and A bunch of people ended up canceling right before the paid in full date...so this time I am definitely waiting until we get closer. Hope this helps! I'm sure whatever you give will be awesome!!! It is so fun to see what everyone comes up with.

This is our first time cruising (and we are also from MN) Have you found the FE page? I'm jumping in as this may be a once in a lifetime thing for us and I want to enjoy as much of the fun as I can!
