Feb. 6, 2015 5- night Caribbean: I Wonder who's On Board?

Booking the 2/1 and 2/6 as a back to back. Our 1st and 2nd cruises were 7 days, then we did 8, and now moving on to 10! ( hoping DH will try to top it again next time). We always cruise with my dad who will be almost 70. (mom passed away a couple years ago). Also traveling with us is my DH Mike, myself Amber and our kids. Our oldest (21 yr old son) has been in college since we started cruising so this will be him and his girlfriends 1st cruise ever!! I can't wait to show him around <3 2nd oldest is 19, and he is bring his girlfriend as well. He LOVES DCL and told us he isn't getting left out just because he moved out! This will be his 1st cruise when he is too old for the Vibe, which he loved. But he is an old soul and will be happy just sunning and enjoying the other awesome stuff on board. Then there's our twins who will be 17- boy and girl- they love the Vibe! Next is our DS who will be 14, it's his first time in the Vibe and he's crazy excited. He didn't like the 11-13 yr old club on any of the cruises, it was a bit young for his personality. Finally is the "baby" MacKenzie who will be 10. She will be in a princess dress every night for dinner.
My family is very fun- they love dressing up every night for dinner, love wearing full pirate costumes on pirate night, and just getting into the vibe of the cruise.
We've been to Grand Cayman and loved it, Cozumel and didn't, and never done Castaway Cay.
We've done Palo dinner and brunch- both are incredible.
Ok, that's us! See you real soon ;)

:wave2: Hello to another b2b cruiser!!! We'll be onboard 2/1 and 2/6 as well - myself, DH, my mom, and her boyfriend. Great to see we won't be the only ones getting off and right back on!

:wave2: Hello to everyone else, too. Just wanted to pop in and say hi! Can't wait to sail!

Hi All, :wave2:

Looks like we will be the 3rd Minnesota family looking to escape the bitter cold of winter :beach:

We are booked and pretty sure we will be aboard however there is an outside possibility we will end up moving if we rebook while on the Magic this July. This is also planned as a B2B with Feb 11 four night. :boat:

For those who have not sailed the Wonder before, she is still our favorite ship - the crew is the best of the best.

Hello everyone. My family and I just booked a Back to back on Feb 1 & Feb 6. We are super excited and very happy to find a group already formed. I admit I haven't read all the post yet. I just wanted to say hello. We will be doing the FE. We had tons of fun doing it on our last/first cruise.

Welcome to the group! You will be a valuable friend to those of us sailing DCL or at least Wonder for the first time. Keep us posted if you change your sailing. Either way, I know you'll have a wonderful time!

I'm pretty excited! It'll be myself, my husband and our two boys who will be 5 & 7.
I'll be turning 35 on the ship!

Welcome, MrsKaty, and congratulations on your upcoming birthday! What a great way to celebrate.

Hi All,

We're on the Feb. 1 & Feb. 6 sailing. These will be DCL cruises number 14 and 15. We've done a 3-day, a 4-day, a 15-day Panama Canal, and nine 7-day cruises on the standard East and West itineraries, two of which were back-to-back - all on the Magic. The one and only time we sailed the Wonder was 15 day May 2012 to Hawaii, and we loved her!

We recently had to cancel the Sept. 2014 WBTA because DH's boss has a new policy that doesn't allow more than 12 consecutive days away. Needless to say, we were bummed. However, I looked around at the various itineraries and the 5-day b2b cruises work perfectly within the 12 day rule. We're not huge on the Western ports, but with 2 Castaway Cay days and 4 sea days, we'll get over the fact that we aren't in the middle of the Atlantic. :-)

Cruising the Feb. 1 sailing will be DH and I, and newlyweds (in 2 weeks!!!) DD and s-i-l. It will be just DH & I on the Feb. 6th sailing. DD & s-i-l may fly straight home, or they might drive over to WDW for a few days. I'd rather cruise, haha!

Anyway, I haven't kept up with cruise news and information since Hawaii so I've got no clues as to how the 5-nights go. What are the dining rotations? Is there a Pirate Night?

Also know *nothing* about cruising out of Miami. My one and only for sure is that we'll be flying into Ft. Lauderdale on Jan 31st. Will need to find a good hotel and reliable transportation to the port.

Anyway, hello to all, and if any of you have any info or advice to share, it would be greatly appreciated!

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!

WOW! There's a lot of B2Bers on this cruise! Wish we could do that too...

Sailing will be myself, Jennifer, DHSeth, DSon Anthony, DDaughter Madison. This will be my 11th and their 10th cruise! Can you believe I went on a Disney Cruise without my family????!!!!

I'm still having guilt issues over that one... lol

Also cruising with us on her first Disney Cruise is DH's Aunt Heather. She will be staying with my kids in their room.

We would love to do the FE.

Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Hello DisneyManFamily and welcome aboard. This will be our 10th and 11th cruise, can't wait to hit platinum on the change over day. We currently have the same stateroom in a fair part of the ship and will be looking to rebook this on our upcoming Venice to Barcelona Cruise in 3 weeks. Anticipate we will save with the on board discount and stateroom credit :cool1:

Oh, I'm jealous, I wish I was cruising Europe in 3 weeks! Is there something in particular you're looking forward to once you're platinum?

Complementary PALO, earliest reservation options and a Black Lanyard - life will be good :thumbsup2

Ohhh, that sounds good to me! I've never been to PALO. I know, I know, we're missing out. I just hate to leave the kids alone and eat without them. So once my husband is platinum will both of us get comp palo? I can't wait!

My experience has been that everyone in the cabin is given the same grade as the highest person in the room.

Hi! Just wanted to welcome the new FE members!

There are sure a lot of big "kids" joining us this cruise. It will be great to come up with some more interesting fish extender projects.

Also, DisneyManFamily4... Good job brining aunt heather on her first cruise! Just remind her that after the wonder, she might be disappointed if she tries another cruise line.

We've decided to try an organize a private MIXOLOGY (cocktail tasting) for our group.

If you're interested you can fill out the 'MIXOLOGY' tab in our spreadsheet. The other tabs are general information (for a meet and greet) and Fish extender. The link is below in my signature.

Cheers!

I thought I'd also post here. We are also on the B2B Feb 1/6 sailing. The hotels have steadily went up so I booked with points at the Springhill suites Mia airport, I figure it is just a quick ride to the port from there! Hope you were able to find a hotel!

Hi everyone,

We just booked this cruise - our first! We're really excited. It is a bit of a delayed celebration for myself & my husband and our long-awaited son. My husband thought we should try for a vacation that offered some options for a small bit of adult time and being such huge Disney fans, a DLC seemed a good option. We are really looking forward to Castaway Cay. What else do folks who've sailed on the Wonder recommend? Has anyone used the infant nursery for an evening or two? Our son will be just over a year old when we sail.

Thanks!
