Argh! We have a crisis here! DH got a call today from his boss saying that inventory is the week of our cruise and no vacation!!! Now, for one I not too happy about this! There seems to be a lack in communication or something going on here! Not even one month ago he asked for the time off and was told it was fine! Even had the choice of 3 different weeks!!!! I guess we'll see what comes of this. They are supposed to talk to the district manager but no one really seems to care that we have planned a vacation and ASKED for the dates before hand! Even gave them choices of what week!

I am so tired of this being the story of my life every time we want to go on vacation (which is only 2 weeks a year)!

Since, as I mentioned, I do not have a creative bone in my body I had to resort to ordering FE's on eBay. They are done and have shipped! Yay!

I'm ordering mine there, too! I didn't even get my Christmas cards out this year, so there is no way I'd ever finish making something like that in time!!

Are the people who booked directly with DCL getting their docs sooner? Did you use a TA?

Thanks for the welcome!! I am a Cari too! I have only known one other person who spells their name the same way! In high school my teachers would assume the i was a L and call out "Carl." I just loved that

Well, we definitely HAVE to meet on board, then! I have actually known three other Cari's so far -- one from college, one from DH's active-duty days (who I still keep in touch with -- people who see us posting on each other's facebook pages must do a double-take LOL), and one from a mom's group.

Did your parents ever give you an explanation for the weird spelling? My Mom just says that she wanted to name me after Carrie Nation, but the "hippie" in her wanted to be different...

I know that I mentioned my son's birthday is on our cruise, but I thought that people participating in FE's might like to know the date in case it affected how/who they did on what day... he is turning 9 on the Friday the 12th, our CC day!

I think there is another birthday and also an anniversary in our meets group, but I don't know if they are doing FE... ??

I think in the craziness of the holidays I forgot to mention that my Mom has decided to join us! She just booked right before Christmas.

She has booked as a single (yes, she REALLY wanted to go, lol) and will be flying with us and everything. Right now she has a Cat 8 on Deck 6, but I'm crossing my fingers she gets upgraded to Deck 7 somehow so she'll only be a flight of stairs away from us... we're going to have a great time, though, regardless!

Jessica - that really bites!!! That just doesn't seem right that they can make him flush away that $ especially when they knew. I hope they come to their senses and find a replacement for him. Fingers crossed for you!

I used a TA - not sure if that affected how soon we got our docs? Well, we booked through TD Travel Rewards but it's through their contracted TA.


Cari - how fun your mom is joining you! We tried to convince my mom to come but she is terrified of flying.

I received an email from Disney today saying that I could now access my flight info on the DCL site. I can't find the information anywhere. Does anyone know where I should look for this info?

I also have a theory about the luggage tags. Those of you who have already received your tags, are you all from Florida? Maybe distance determines when you get the package and if so then Canadians will be last.

We got our tags today...
I have started hunting and gathering our cruising gear...

I just found out that someone I know from work is going on the Jan 16th Western... so I should get a little intel on weather... etc...
Of course - anything is better than the 2 foot of snow we have here... I just keep praying that we get out of here on the 5th....

Our tags/docs aren't here yet either. Of course they probably have to go from FL? to our TA in WA? and then back here to IN. Bummer.

-2 wind chill here today with about 4 inches of snow. Sigh. Only about 20 more years until I can retire to FL!

In the midst of buying a new dress for formal night.

Does anyone know the LATEST time you can leave the ship? Our flight is at 2:40pm, so we'll be in no hurry.

Hey everyone...We will be joining you all on this wonderful cruise!! This will be My son (Christopher who is 4) and myself (Shauna who is 28) 6th Disney Cruise...Also joining us is my Cousin (Chelsea who is 16) and this will be her first EVER cruise.

We are so excited...its funny that even after 5 cruises (all disney) that we would still be sooo thrilled and excited to be going back on the ship.

Is anyone planning on doing the FE Exchange? If so is it too late to sign up? Just checking in. I know its kinda last minute to be asking but My cousin just asked me...since its her first cruise she is excited for all things and she has heard us talk about doing the FE before and was curious if there would be one going on this time.

Lets hope that the weather warms back up so we have a nice warm cruise...

Here is our list of who is doing the FE. It is not too late to join in so please give us your info if you want to join! We are a very *free* FE group and don't really have any rules. Each family will do as they please. We are going to try and each deliver on different days so the FE's are all filled on day 1. A few have already claimed what days they would like to do it. I have yet to copy and paste to the list those days though.
