Hello all! My DW and I are considering booking tomorrow for our 5th DCL trip but we wondered how the western caribbean weather was in February. Anyone been this time of year?!

It seems as if it is normally PERFECT weather. The temperature of 82 F is my perfect temperature and it is right around that for the high and about 71 for the low. Not bad.

Hi All!

I will be cruising aboard the Magic on Feb. 6th....for a Mom's Getaway Cruise!! I am leaving my DH, DD7 and DS2 at home and going away with the girls!!! I have been looking forward to a getaway for a long time and was finally able to make it happen with the help of my MIL (to watch DS2 while DH is at work). I know I will miss the kids, but I am looking forward to some adult time on the Magic!

Would someone be able to PM me the info on the FE group! It sounds like fun!!

Oh..and I just received my cruise documents this morning!! My DS2 took one look at the brochure and said "Big ship...me go too?"

We will deliver our FE's on the 11th if this is OK. There are 2 couples in our group so it will be a double delivery.

Hi everyone! I am calling and booking this cruise tomorrow with DVC points in a CAT 9. Not much time to plan so I need a little help. What excursions are good for kids ages 5 and 9 at each port??? Thanks for any help!! Vanessa

Vanessa - Are your kids boys or girls? Our sons age 9 and 4 are doing the pirate encounter excursion at Grand Cayman in the AM and then we plan on hitting seven mile beach in the PM. We have heard good things about this excursion.

Love2driveinct - Our sons are both crazy about Legos and video games also. It will be so nice for them to meet other kids their age with common interests.

We are surprising our sons on the day of the flight. They are going to get up for school and instead of a lunch, they will each be getting a bag of Disney goodies and an invitation from Mickey to join him. They will be bouncing off the walls.

Thanks for the welcome!! I am a Cari too! I have only known one other person who spells their name the same way! In high school my teachers would assume the i was a L and call out "Carl." I just loved that

This is my 2nd Disney cruise as I have been on the 4-night Wonder. I am going with a friend from work, her grown daughter (who is my age) and her daughter's friend. We have 2 cabins...Cat 11 on deck 7. Most of us are also CM's.

I should know by the end of the week about the FE group! Just waiting for my roomie to get in touch with me.

Hope it warms up in the Caribbean.....the low 80's sounds good!

Thanks! I am sure both you and your family will have a great time! Lots of activities for both the kids and parents! I remember attending a cooking seminar and napkin folding (both sans DH as he preferred to sit on deck and read a book!) while on the Wonder while my DD was at the kid's club. I even won a "medal" for my napkin folding skills So lots for everyone!

They also had a neat treasure hunt on Castaway Cay that the whole family could participate in.....DD and I had fun (and it's free!)!!

I will admit... I am looking forward to the "adults only" beach on Castaway Cay and the solarium! However, I love the Disney shows that I saw on the Wonder...the best at sea!!

I think your DD7 will definitely enjoy it...DD4 might get bored as some of the clues are a little hard to find, but should enjoy most of the tasks. The "reward" is tiny....but overall I think it was a lot of fun! You pick up the Treasure Hunt info the day before Castaway Cay....in one of the lounges.

Argh! We have a crisis here! DH got a call today from his boss saying that inventory is the week of our cruise and no vacation!!! Now, for one I not too happy about this! There seems to be a lack in communication or something going on here! Not even one month ago he asked for the time off and was told it was fine! Even had the choice of 3 different weeks!!!! I guess we'll see what comes of this. They are supposed to talk to the district manager but no one really seems to care that we have planned a vacation and ASKED for the dates before hand! Even gave them choices of what week!

I am so tired of this being the story of my life every time we want to go on vacation (which is only 2 weeks a year)!
