Feb 28, 2010 - 4 night Wonder Cruise

Once again--Confused Anne strikes again!!:confused3 I don't know what I would do if I didn't have this discussion board:worship::worship: So my question. Is pirate night and the "dress-up night" the same night? If so--do we dress like pirates to dinner -- or-- dress nice for dinner and then change to pirate gear later before the pirate party???:confused3

Thank you to everyone for ALL your help.

Hi Everyone,

I am late to this but wanted to know if it was too late to get into the list of participants for the fish extender fun. If so, I will learn to do this earlier if I ever take another cruise (this is our first time, DH, myself and 18 y.o. autistic son). Can you let me know if we can still participate?

thanks!:goodvibes

I don't believe that Pirate Night is dress up night because there were a LOT of people dressed as pirates at dinner time on our last cruise. There's also a photo op with Mickey before dinner.

Anne,

From what I read dress up night is Monday night and Pirates night is Tuesday night.

Hello - :welcome: to our cruise thread - we did cut off the participant list at the end of January to give everyone time to prepare. Personally I don't mind adding you to my list, but it would be up to each individual family if they are willing to add more participants, so I'm not sure what kind of response you will get. Email me (dthogue5@verizon.net) your names and cabin number - I can send out an email to the participants letting them know you would like to join.

Also - we are planning on meeting at 3pm on Embarkation day near the kiddie splash pool - where lime green (we are just doing ribbons) so we know you are from the DIS.

Thanks for posting this, Tammy...I'm starting with when "Princess & Frog" is playing for my DD to see (again). It's playing a few times, so her grandmother will get to watch it with her on the cruise.

I don't know about everyone else, but as each little piece of the planning is completed, my excitement just increases!

As a "newbie" to cruising, I really appreciate this info Tammy. I've looked at it online and it seems to give a lot of information.

Thanks again for sharing,

:cold: Ok its official - we are SNOWED IN - I don't remember seeing this much snow for a long time - we had about 20 inches over the weekend and have had at least 15 inches more since last night. They are calling for another 4-8 inches til its over later this evening. Not to mention the 35 mph winds that are to start later this afternoon. Everything that I shoveled is not completely covered - even DD doesn't want to go out and play.

I've washed and ironed our shorts for our cruise, they are sitting next to the suitcase. I've rearranged my FE gifts in the suitcase. I've checked and re-checked my packing list - crossing off the stuff that I have together. I'm running out of things to do

How's everyone else doing? It's been quiet here lately. We haven't heard from alot of you - please check in and let us know what you're up too!

We leave 2 weeks from Friday :woohoo: - still nervous about the weather though - told DH, we'll drive if we have too :scared1:

Anyone else getting snow????

Tammy

:scared1: That is a lot of snow!!!!:scared1:

My new suitcase came yesterday. It is a pretty good match to the one the airline destroyed.

I am so far away from packing it is funny. I do have a 30% off kohl's card that I want to use for some new clothes for me. I just need to make time to get there.:rotfl:

Tammy, you need to come down here early. I have tons of stuff I could give you to do to keep you busy!:lmao: I am making bookmarks for my DD's classes for Valentines Day and only have one of the girls classes done. I ran out of laminate so I need to go out for that after I pick the girls up from school. I also have 840 boxes of cookies to get sorted and picked up/delivered and finish getting ready for cookie booths this weekend. See I could use lots of help!:rotfl:

I hope the snow melts soon. The news is telling us that it will be cold all week due to the system up north, but I hope that you don't keep getting snow all week too.

Hi Everyone! I am a cruise newbie and will be on the 2/28 Wonder cruise with my DH, DD5, DS4, mom and dad. We are so looking forward to it. I've been reading the threads here for a while, but thought I should introduce myself.

Angie,

I'm on my way - no snow and Girl Scout cookies - can't beat that :woohoo:

OMG!!! We have NEVER had that much snow, and we had a blizzard 3 years ago. The girls have been home the last 2 days due to our measley amount of snow:lmao: My Oriental Trading Co. order came , just have to get a few more things for the FE's and I'll be done. I'm shipping my FE gifts and my door magnets ahead . I'm getting worried about the 50lb weight limit on checked bags (southwest) I'm going to have to put some of my things in everyones bags:rotfl: I keep trying to downsize but I just can't:sad2:

;) I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there will be a beautiful full moon up on Feb 28th! :goodvibes

:wizard:How is that for a perfect start to our cruise? :earsboy:

I've started to pack a few things but very far from finishing. I think I've started 5 different lists and lost every one of them :rotfl:I ordered the kids some clothes from Old Navy today and a couple of dresses for me. They are having a really great sale on kids clothes until the 18th. We've made a countdown calendar to get the kids (and adults) excited...I'll try to post some pics. I also made a letter from "Mickey" to the kids and they will be receiving it on Saturday (2 wks from sail date). I'm hoping that I can spend more time this weekend on planning and packing...we'll see how that goes!
