For those who want it - I'm willing to send you some of our snow!!!!! Tammy

lol Tammy...we got maybe SIX inches here last SATURDAY...and our schools were closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday!!! A bit overkill, even for down here! I know they worry about the school buses (only our primary highways were plowed), but a two hour delay on Tuesday would've sufficed...I assure you, everyone was back at work, and our more rural-lying families weren't snowbound, they were out at the mall like everyone else! Now it's snowing again, but I don't think we should accumulate anything. It's quite a novelty for us down here, but I think even my kids are over it!;) (btw, I'm from the Northeast...plenty used to it! Shoveled my first walk last week in 10 years!)

Question about the FE exchange. I am one of those people who like to do what the majority of the group is doing. I am almost done getting my gifts together. How many of you are putting who your gifts are from? I can go either way, just wanted to know before I did it. It seems I am full of questions.

We are in NC--near the coast. We just got rain. My DS5 has been asking for snow since June 09. Still hasn't seen it.

I put who ours were from on the label.

You didn't get any of that snow we got last weekend? Lucky. Kids were out of school in the piedmont for 3-4 days. Lots of folks started going stir-crazy. Fortunately, I'm a homebody and am immune to the effects of being trapped by icy roads.

We had MAYBE 1/8 of an inch in patches. So basically--NO we didn't get any of the snow :sad1:

Thanks for the info on the name labels!!

We only got 6inches here, of course out in the country we end up with 1ft drifts. He's trying to get the snowblower through it now.I'm so glad I'm not a man:cool1: Thats a cold job! and that was after he fixed the dishwasher...poor guy. It did put a damper on my shopping though:sad1:

I hear you on the shopping. Once we had the threat of snow, I went out and got a few "just in case" things, but didn't do a full grocery trip. By the time I got out of the house again it had been 2 weeks since I'd really been food shopping! We were running out of snackie foods which is a no-no in this house.

I guess the perk is that I also couldn't get out to waste money at the arts 'n crafts stores.

I put labels on our gifts with our name on them!! Got them all packed today - it took a whole suitcase just for the FE exchange!!

I agree - shoveling and snow removal is man's work - I tried to help this afternoon, but I didn't do it right :confused3 so I went inside.

Ok we are debating here at our house (can you tell we are bored :lmao:) - which sounds closer to you - our cruise leaves in 21 days or our cruise leaves in 3 weeks.

We are split 2 to 2 - help us decide :confused3

Oh, definitely 21 days! then you can include the hours and minutes too!

Trish

I think I'm going with 3 weeks, I agree 3 is a much smaller number than 21. We could say 2 weeks, 6 days, 28 hours and 27 minutes as of 11:32 AM EST. Either way you say it................YEA!!!!! It can't come toooooooooo soon.

We had shopping success today :woohoo: - DH is all set - 4 new pairs of shorts, 4 new polo shirts, new sandals and a belt. DD got 2 new pairs of shorts - I got 2 new shirts. Everything was buy one get one free, plus we had a Kohl's 15% off coupon making the trip even sweeter!!!

Suitcases are in our bedroom - now I have to move them every time I want to get to the bathroom - we leave 2 weeks from Friday - can you say excited :banana:

I received an email last week that someone is dropping out of the fish exchange and someone else is joining?? Can someone please confirm this for me? I want to make sure everyone gets their gifts :goodvibes

Please check your emails - I just re-sent the final participant list - the list that was sent by one of members was not the final list. There had been some changes/addtions that were not on her list.

Please let me know if you have any questions!!!

We are so ready for the cruise and warm weather!! We haven't seen this much snow in Arkansas in years.:cold: 2 weeks ago we received 9 inches...which is alot for us. Today we are suppose to get around 8 inches. Although it's pretty and fun to play in, we are definitely ready to get our warm weather back!!
