Feb 28, 2010 - 4 night Wonder Cruise

We received our cruise documents yesterday. Did everyone receive something more than the little book? I thought there would be more.....:confused3

Our kids gave us this cruise for Christmas and we've never been on one before. I was alittle squimish at first about being put in an inside stateroom, but we were upgraded to a deluxe oceanview so now I'm really excited.

I know all the little girls will be so beautiful in their princess dresses. Kind of makes me wish we could be bringing our youngest granddaughter (6). But she's in school. Can't wait for the cruise. Hope to see and meet lots of new people.

I had an inside room last trip and it's really not bad. Before that I had a balcony so I was a little worried about going inside. This time, I was upgraded from deck 2 inside to an inside handicap on deck 7. I was on deck 7 with the balcony and I really liked being close to the pools, but now I'm wondering about what to expect in a handicap room. Can't seem to get many reviews on the room. I'm sure it is wonderful for those who need it, but I'm hoping it doesn't resemble a hospital room instead of a stateroom. It is my first trip with my granddaughter and I want it to be wonderful. The secret deck across from our room is a plus!:smokin:

Nope, just the book - the luggage tags were more exciting then the book :)

We received our docs a few weeks ago, I (DH) have to stay away from this thread! Every time I come on here I get more and more excited,(good thing I'm not a Disney addict ;) ) its already getting difficult to fall asleep at night... :D

You can borrow my daughter. She is 5, lives far away from her grandparents, and is Southern. :goodvibes:goodvibes

I enjoy little girls!!! I will look forward to seeing her in her princess dress, Our plan now is to meet at the designated time of 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Kiddie pool. Lime green isn't one of my better colors, but I do have a lime green t-shirt and maybe, just maybe I'll be wearing it.

Can't wait to get onboard.....

I'm glad this isn't our cruise week-end! I would hate to try to drive through that storm!:scared1:

You and me both - we are flying out of BWI and I am panicking now - what would do if this happens the day we want to fly? :scared1: The bad weather is down the whole coast - it wouldn't be much fun driving!!

They are calling for 8-12 inches of snow here tomorrow - I want to go short and swimsuit shopping this weekend :confused3

Anyone else in the line of this massive snow storm????

We are in Nebraska so we are always in the middle of a snow storm :lmao::lmao:

No, seriously, we did get 5 inches last night and they are calling for another 2 or 3. That will put our total snowfall so far at 46 inches since Dec 8th. :scared1:

Still looking for that snorkel! :goodvibes

Hi Amy, my DH and I are also sailing on the 28th. We live in Buford and will be leaving early on Saturday (27th) morning driving down. We will be staying at the Radission Hotel at Cocoa Beach. Nice to hear from people from our area going on the same cruise. Martha Welch

Hey Tammy, well it's Friday the 5th and I see that y'all are getting some pretty heavy snow. DC this weekend is getting over 2 ft of snow. Too bad it rarely snows of any amount here in the outskirts of Atlanta. Stay warm. Martha in GA, where it's cold mid to high 30's and only rain. Cold miserable rain....

Welcome Amy! I have two DD's too. Lexi is 8 and Megan is 6. There are quite a few girls in this group around the same ages too.

Wow, I guess I need to watch more than the local news. I had no idea there was such a big snowstorm right now. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

I am waiting on my luggage here. DH took it on a business trip to CA last week and the airline destroyed it:scared1: They are mailing me a new bag, so it will be interesting to see what they send.... It is suppose to be here before the cruise, if not we will be packing pretty tight in the rest of the set:rotfl2:

Welcome Amy, I'm travelling with my 7 year old granddaughter, so this will be fun. Not too bad here in Chicago, rainy and 30ish. Not bad for Chicago weather:cool1:!

Hi all, just chiming in to say the excitement is building!! I haven't packed a thing, but I did have a 'dress up party' with DD(3) and was happy that most of her end-of-summer clothes fit and are in good condition. :cutie:

Now I have to find her bathing suits and try those on. But was happy to also see Target just put them out this week if she needs one.

Oooh, hope, I mean I WILL have a lot more accomplished this time next week!

Hope it comes before your trip and you like it?? My girls are trying to talk me into buyung new luggage - they want the kind with the 4 wheels that "drive" - told them no - our luggage is fine.

Tammy

Well we are SNOWED in - we have had at least 12 inches of snow since last night :scared1: and they are calling for 6-8 more til its over. All activities have been cancelled. Guess no shopping today, maybe tomorrow. I'm going to get the luggage out today!!

Tammy

Question about the FE exchange. I am one of those people who like to do what the majority of the group is doing. I am almost done getting my gifts together. How many of you are putting who your gifts are from? I can go either way, just wanted to know before I did it. It seems I am full of questions.

We are in NC--near the coast. We just got rain. My DS5 has been asking for snow since June 09. Still hasn't seen it. Since my DH is in the USMC--probability of him seeing snow is slim. Our parents live in Missouri so we pray when we go home at Christmas that is snows. Could some you post pics??

:rotfl: Are they talking about the 360 spinners? That is the kind I have and absolutely love it. However, it does leave a pit in your stomach when the airline ruins it. The set was a gift or I would never have spent that much. Tell the girls that there is some lady online that says the luggage you already have is perfect.:rotfl2:

Yikes! You guys will have enough to make snow forts. I use to love building them when I was a kid.:woohoo:
