I am with you on the fear of flying. Mine really started after 911. Of course I refuse to let them win, but I do have nighmares from the time I book until the time I am home safe. I can't drink due to motion sickness, but I always take my drammine! ( Bonnie doesn't work as well for me.) Books on tape are nice, you can close your eyes and relax while listening to something that takes you mind off of flying.
I also watch the people around me like one of the other posters said and I also watch the stewards. I figure if anyone would know if something is going wrong, they would. Needless to say, every flight I have been on, I have made it back safe and sound. In the end, you'll be fine but I do understand.

so we could travel to all our destinations and be a little more comfortable in the process. It does guzzle down the gas and it does take forever to get there, but at least I am more at ease. We drove to DisneyWorld a couple of weeks ago and it took about 19 hours. We stopped halfway to rest, but we didn't die, so all is well.
Oh well, if it works for me.
