San Angel Inn. Love the atmosphere and the food. I don’t understand why some people don’t like it.
You got all my choices right here, in the same order.Chefs de France. I think the prix fixe menu is a pretty good value and we really like sitting near the windows and watching people go by. Post re-opening they removed tables to allow for distancing and that makes it even more enjoyable. Also really like the pizza at Via Napoli, however, the restaurant itself is louder and a bit on the chaotic side. Really enjoy La Hacienda de San Angel as well (open for dinner only) - but have not been recently.
I agree. I loved the old Spice Road Table, but don’t like the new menu at all. I don’t like the limited menu at Chefs de France right now either.Seeing several mentions for Spice Road Table. Wondering how many of these are based on the old version. There's been a fairly significant change to the place in the past year or two.
We stopped there several times with and without an ADR but unfortunately could never get the pork belly dish (Grandmother’s Braised Pork, might be the name). Hope the shutdown has allowed them to better organize their kitchen on that level. There are better restaurants as far as cuisine goes but the one I miss the most is nine dragons for lunch. Reasonably priced and we always left satisfied
