Favorite server on the Magic???

We were on Magic last November and will be again in 2 weeks. Our server was Cornwall from St. Vincent and assistant was Marlin. WE wondered if it was a coincidence our server was called Cornwall as we are from Cornwall in the UK, or whether it was pre-arranged! His assistant was Marlin, I think from Sweden, she was great too, but Cornwall was BRILLIANT. We have requested him again as our DS 11 thought he was just GREAT! :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :grouphug:

We had Silvio as our server 2 years ago and he was weeks away from getting off the ship and starting a business with his brother. He was amazing and I hope he is doing really well with his new business.

Thinking back on all three of our cruises, our very best servers were from our first trip in 2001. I don't know if it was because it was that first magical experience that spoiled us or not but we still think of Brian from England and Jeevan (who went on to become one of the white jacket big-wigs).

Since then we've had Zoran and Pema in 2/2004 and Pairoj and Anita in 2/2006.

Just returned from the Magic's October Double Dip and I must say that we absolutely LOVED our servers, Philip and Uri. Philip was notorious for saying, "Oops!" as he would drop extra plates on our table with our favorite things! :woohoo: Uri was well loved by my DD 8 with his attempt at magic tricks. :wizard:

It was also wonderful to see Gideon again, this time in the dining rooms. We first met him up at Topsiders where we dined frequently for dinner in January of 2005. (Unique tablemates as well as servers and a late seating kept us from the main dining.) According to him, our glowing comments helped place him there. We ate breakfast with him several mornings and felt like we had the best of both worlds!!!

We were on the 9/2 Eastern on the Magic and had Silvo from Chile and Aswald from St. Vincent as assistant, they were both wonderful and treated my daughter like a princess. Also our room host Nick was wonderful.

We were hoping that our favorite server, Liam Scott is still aboard the Magic. We'll be going at the end of November. His brother-in law (also aboard as a server), Dwight, who is also Jamaican, was going to be leaving at the beginning of this year. Last year at this time Liam was home on leave and we had Ivan (no, not from Jamaica!). He was terrific, too but we just LOVE Liam. Any recent cruisers know?
Thanks!!!!!!!

How 'bout those Bears?!? :cheer2:

We were on the double dip 7/2206 and we had Philip from Croatia, absolutely fabulous. Never missed a beat and wonderfully pleasant. He even wowed me by correctly naming my perfume one night.

Our assistant server was Martin from the Czech Republic, he too was nice, somewhat quiet. I really think he was a bit homesick as this was his first cruise. But he really lit up when I was able to talk to him about his home country as I have a foster sister from there and was fortunate enough to have been there myself.

Anyway these two were great!

Just got back from the Magic. Aleksandra was our head server--nothing special, but our servers were Alex from the Phillipines and Antonio fom Italy. The service was the fastest we've ever had--in the past had to wait for drinks and refills, Antonio had them there before you knew you needed a refill, and alex brought us something extra to try every night and had magic tricks ready for my son each night. If anyone is looking for a team to request I recommend them. Be sure to tell them Sean and Beth said hi.

We had Dwight from Jamaica on the 12/9 cruise... it was his last cruise! (Although we didn't know that until almost the end of the week.) He'll be heading to western NC to manage a resort restaurant in Hendersonville. Dwight was SUPER. Wasn't afraid to give real answers on any of the dishes (DH likes really spicy, so he gave him the heads up that something would not be as spicy as he likes.) He had a lot of fun with our family (13 of us, from my 3 year old son to my 70-something parents!)

Hemant has graduated to head waiter, but trust me...this entire team (Hemant, Agus, and Ricardo) were THE best!!! I found out that my mother had passed away during our cruise last month and they not only went out of their way (after tips) to have a special breakfast made early for us...but they actually brought it up to our cabin early themselves, so that we were able to be one of the first off the ship and make it to the memorial service in time.

I used to work with a military travel agency, so not only did I leave a comment card about how wonderful they'd been...but I made sure to talk to my Disney rep, so that he could pass it on to the right people also. They could easily have not done anything extra for us at that point to help...they already had gotten their tips, but they showed why Disney is known for it's customer service.:smickey: :rose:

Liam from Jamaica was our server on the 2/17/07 cruise and he was FANTASTIC!!

He didn't preach the excellent speech because his service spoke for itself. I've never cried leaving the ship before but Liam spoiled that for me. The morning I left the ship, I went over to hug Liam and the tears started flowing. He is really a special server!!

I wonder if he will be on the Med repo cruise in May??? :scratchin
Has anyone had Keyvon from Jamaica? We only had him one night, but he seemed really accomodating, and a good sense of humor.

I have his email address. I'll see if he responds when I ask him about it.

After 4 cruises, my last team took the cake! We had Romeo and Mizar. UNBELIEVABLE! Mizar did magic tricks every night and sang goofy songs for the kids and told jokes. Romeo gave us brain teasers. And always brought out "bonus" desserts without asking. On lobster night he said, "woops, I brought out too many lobsters (wink wink).
We were at a table for 12 (my brother's family came too) and when one of the little ones would fall asleep, Romeo and Mizar would pull two chairs together, get the table cloths out and make a "bed" for them.

We had napkin animals and hats too!
What a team. Those guys were the BEST!

One night my 13 and 10 year old went to dinner by themselves b/c we were at Palo. THey made such a big deal over the "princesses" dining alone and were treated like royalty.

If you get a chance, if one of your kids fall asleep during dinner, go visit Ariza (from Phillipines) up on the pool deck at night. She gave my son his chicken fingers, or taco at night and went above and beyond! She went in the back to get him chocolate milk and made him feel SO special. He looked forward to visiting Ariza every night !!
