Here are some of my favorite places in Disneyworld
Magic Kingdom:
Snacks
- IF you like frozen drinks, you must go to the Enchanted Grove. Its a small stand across from Cosmic Ray's and its right in between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. IT has frozen lemonade and frozen rasberry lemonade. The frozen lemonade is beyond words.
- The main street confectionary: If you like fudge, you'll be in heaven. My favorite happens to be the peanut butter/chocolate fudge cause its so soft. They also have a lot of variety with fudge, chocolate and candy!
-There are plenty of soft serve ice cream areas around the MK, i like the one in Tomorrowland,i think its "Auntie Gravity".
Counter Service
- Cosmic Ray's: Standard hamburger/chicken finger fare but I happen to really like what they have. Also, entertainment by Sonny Eclipse, an audio-animatronic robot who sings in the main room.
- Columbia Harbor House: Fried chicken, fish, and some more variety from the other hamburger places. They used to have soup in a bread bowl but dont any more, but still they do have soup. Nice North Eastern US atmosphere and if its busy downstairs, its always empty upstairs to find seats.
Sit-down
-Liberty Tree Tavern: Probably my favorite sit down restaurant or restaurant in genreal in Disneyworld. Their stuffing, turkey, and mashed potatoes have me looking forward to it every day of my life! Great desserts and if you do the cahracter dinner, the characters will keep you company. I always get great interaction there from them.
- Cinderella's Royal Table: You're dining IN the castle, so you're starting off with an original dining experience right off the bat. They have a lot of meat and chicken on the menu with great side dishes and desserts. ANd if you hapen to be there at night, you can watch Wishes from inside the castle!
Epcot
Snacks
- Cool zone: This is half attraction, half free beverages. Its in one of the Innovations (i think Innovations West) and its a big igloo taht youw alk through to get to an area where you get Coca Cola drinks from around the world. For FREE. Try out as much as you want, but be warned, some of the beverages arent loved by everyone! Still, if you're thirsty, give it a try!
- Kaki Gori snowcones. In the Japan pavilion, they have a stand with snowcones. Very finely cut ice and flavors that one doesnt usually find in the US. I havent gone there yet but have heard great things.
- French patisserie: The french bakery has some amazing baked goods that you should try! I enjoy the napoleons. Norway also has a bakery but i havent tried it yet, hopefully next time!
-Fountainview Bakery: A bakery in one of the Innoventions plazas. Friends of mine have tried it and really enjoy it.
Counter service
Unfortunately my favorite place to sit down is now being renovated. THe sunshine food fair at the Land had so much variety and great food. It was a food court with a lot of differnet stands, my favorite being the italian stand. Great dessert place too. I dont really know what will become of it after the place gets a facelift for Soarin. I dont really know any other sitdown places cause I always went to the Land. Though before that there was "Pasta Piazza" but thats also gone
Sitdown
I already posted a bit about Epcot sit down restaurants so I'll just copy and paste that here.
Le Celier: I just tried it for the first time last year and loved it. The pretzel bread was out of this world and even competes with Olive Garden breadsticks! (which coming from me is a great honor!) Le Celier steaks are great and the desserts were amazing if you have room for them!
- Alfredo's: The atmosphere was very festive with numerous songs breaking out! At one point, a song broke out and everyone started swinging their napkins! It was one of the highlights of the vacation! The food was also really good and a lot of variety
- The Japanese sit down place. I think its called Teppanyaki Dining room. Went there a few trips ago and was very impressed. Sitting in front of the grill as the chef prepared everything was a unique experience and the food itself was excellent. Very fresh and filling while not having a heavy feel to it.
- The Coral Reef restaurant in the Living Seas. Though not in World Showcase, this was a very classy sitdown restaurant. The entertainment is a huge fish tank which my party was lucky enough to sit right next to. And the food was very good too. Also, if you arent a big fan of seafood, there are plenty of other dishes to get. The desserts in this place are among the best I've had: both in taste and presentation.
