Favorite Resort

I did not stay at a Disney Resort went I went to Walt Disney World, but was wondering which one you think is the best.

I am sure every resort on Disney property has a Dis'r who loves it.
It would certainly depend on budget, preference for themes, food choices that work for your family,location and transportation, pool preference etc....

Our families personal favorite is:
Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I couldn't agree more... and our favorite is also Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. We love just about everything about it.

Coronado Springs or Hilton (the one at DTD). Both were excellent. FW wasn't so fun. The cabins were very nice, but transportation was terrible.

Grand Floridian looks wonderful (but I doubt that we'll ever get to stay there). Poly is another one that looks like it would be very relaxing. And you can't beat having the monorail.

WL is our favorite right now. The other resorts we went to just didn't quite have that same "feel" as walking through the doors at the WL had.

You will find thousands of different responses. Our favorite is the Coronado. But like I said, you will find many different opinions. It is a matter of what you are looking for in a resort and your personal preference for all that the resort offers.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge, it's the only hotel that makes me want to wake up in the early morning, drink coffee and read the newspaper in front of the fireplace..

.. which says a lot, seeing how I'm only 20 years old

Grand Floridian, then Polynesian. They are both gorgeous hotels, and they're located on the Seven Seas Lagoon (with monorail access to MK and Epcot). Contemporary and Beach Club also come close - Contemporary has the most amazing MK views and gorgeous rooms, while BC is the closest walk to Epcot.

My least favorite hotel is Animal Kingdom Lodge. Being from South Africa and having done the real thing, AKL is shameful in comparison (but this doesn't affect most people).

We love the Poly!! But as others have stated you will get a wide variety of responses. Anything is wonderful though if your in disney!

Stayed in Dixie Landings-now POR liked that one!! Then decided to try Poly & that is my favorite!!!!! Staying on Disney property is great you can take advantage of all they have to offer.

Our family's favorite is...
Wilderness Lodge

Visiting in January, having coffee on the balcony and watching the sun rise over the lake, huddling up to the massive fireplace when it's chilly outside, the relaxing boat ride to MK, the electric water pageant at the beach, seeing the geyser erupt from a boat on the lake....pure bliss

We have camped (tent) at FW and stayed at CBR, WL and POR. We loved each and every stay! Our family favorite is POR. It feels like coming home each and every time! In my mind I can't justify a deluxe but the Y&BC looks amazing! Also would love a stay at AKL and GF. Contemporary? Not so much. Also plan on staying at the FW cabins when I have more family traveling with me. DD and DS are now grown so it is usually just me and my sister these days. (like Nov. 2009) Though I must stay I sense that my DS might decide that he must come next year too. He was going with a friend and his sister's family but that got cancelled. Besides, that would have been offsite and he is a HUGE fan of POR!

Deluxe - Poly.

Just my opinion but all three are my favorites!
