Favorite discontinued food?

Due to newly discovered food allergies to flour and glucose, it isn't a list of foods that Disney discontinued, but foods that are discontinued for me.

Pretzel Bread
Dipped Rice Krispie Bars
Creme' Brulee from anywhere
Soft Pretzels from Germany
Cupcakes that I never tried

Allergies aside....it would be Beaver Tails that I miss the most.

Major Domo's Favorite Pie at CRT for lunch..... ugh, could so go for that right now!

Sunshine Seasons had a chocolate peanut butter cake that we loved...miss it!!

The Handwhich sold at the lunching pad in MK. It was like a salad in a bread cone.

I don't recall seeing them at epcot, though some pages back someone mentioned having a similar item filled with ground beef and cheese.

Aos, chocolate covered pretzels at Seashore Sweets on the boardwalk.

I never got to have the original school bread from Norway, before they changed it to a stale bun filled with custard from a bucket.

I can't believe that this is gone!:scared1: I think the recipe is in the back of one of my Disney Restaurant books. I'm going to have to try to make it.

This is gone? Then it's on my list. I tried making it myself one time, inadvertently using too much alcohol. But not one of my friends complained! ;)

Also on my list: citrus swirl. Monte Cristo sandwich from Columbia Harbour House. The entire menu at Akershus, back when it actually represented Norway.

I don't know if this was mentioned, but I miss the lime sherbert punch from the Liberty Tree Tavern.

I have had a lot of good things at WDW but I can only really remember one that I was very disappointed at when it left. At Liberty Tree Tavern they had Butter Griddled Pound Cake for dessert. Pound cake was fried with butter, topped with vanilla ice cream and covered in pecans in a caramel / brown suger sauce.

Pinnochio's Figaro Fries and antipasto salad, Pecos Bill's chicken salad with jicama slaw and lime vinegarette dressing and also I just miss POFQ Bonfamille's altogether.:sad2:

Prime Time's fried cheese. I went there to get some the day after they'd taken it off the menu.

Oyster Brie soup from The Brown Derby. They haven't had it in years

I had this for lunch in December 2010. I don't think it's on the menu right now though.

Ok...this has less to do with the beverage inside than it does the souvenir cup that it came in. The last time we went to Club Cool and Goofy's Candy Co, they no longer carried the hats, feet and colored cups for Goofy's Glaciers. Does anyone know if they are back? We need to finish the collection!

The German Chocolate Cookie at Main Street Bakery
The Maple Filet at Le Cellier
The Buttermilk Fried Chicken at Olivia's
The potatoes at Ohana

I miss them all, but I miss the German Chocolate Cookie the most!

Fried Shrimp at the Mara - AKL:sad1:

We just got back and my husband was very disappointed this was off the menu...if fact, we left there and went back to the room and ordered room service since there was nothing else there he wanted (we were staying at Kidani)

i had the most wonderful Irish Cream Brulee at Rose and Crown, which sadly is gone. Also miss the Pinapple with caramel sauce at O'hana.

Lastly, I truly miss the Mickey bars when they were made by Dove. They were the best!!!

Its funny that you should mention the Dove Mickey bars as my hubby and I were at Disney in 1/11 returning for the first time in many years. He was craving a Mickey bar so we got one and immediately he told me that they simply did not taste the same as he remembered, that they were not using an inferior "Nestle" chocolate, and he flat out refused to eat it after a bite or two. I told him that he was crazy, that it tasted great to me, but I guess he was right all along! LOL:guilty:

I miss the fried cheese app from 50's Prime Time the most. It was delicious Brie that was served with some crispy french bread slices and strawberries.....so, so, so yummy.....I get such cravings for it....UGH! Why do they take away all the good stuff?!?!

allears has a recipe for it...i loved it, too. I think I will make it for our going away meal before our next trip.
