Fastpass line being managed differently?

While not really a "nightmare" situation for me, I have often wondered what would happen if I arrived at that line with 5 minutes remaining in my window. By the time I survive the idiot parade and get to the tap point, it has been 10 minutes and I am now outside my window. What happens now? Has anyone run into this one?

Yes. I'm no CM, but yes.

When I arrived 15min outside my time window (long delay when swapping resorts on split stay), I got ZERO sympathy from the CM. Initially, I didn't bother rebooking because all the Tomorrowland kiosk lines were long. Much later in the day, we found a short kiosk line, but all e-ride FPs were gone.

Another time, we didn't check the clock, but we'd gotten in line just about the end of our time window, reached front of line a solid ten minutes later. We were waived through.

Sigh. The above is just part of why visiting Universal was a dream compared to WDW.

That sad part is that depending on time of day, some of those people might have waited in a kiosk line first to get the FP to wait in the line to get into the FP line! :rotfl2:
Reminds me of a song...

So I went up to Disney, to have a vacation, one summer's day
I got me a ticket and fastpass, and I didn't have a penny to pay
But when I got in the park with the people
They were lookin' at all of the signs
That said how long they'd be waiting
When they got into one of the lines...

Line, lines, everywhere a line...
Blocking up the scenery, taking up time.
Ride this! No, ride that! Can'tcha skip the lines?

That's a much different scenario that being in the line within your time frame and and a backed up line causing you to be late to scan.

I'm sure the CM's have heard every excuse there that someone should be allowed to enter the line late. A backed up line is right in front of them as proof. I've actually never read a post from someone who encountered a long enough line that it cause them to be late to scan. I just don't believe it would be an issue.

Is that stealing if the source is credited? Just curious. Doesn't seem like a big deal either way.

I'm always amazed when you come on here in such a huff. Seems rather silly since you have a lot of fans on here.
Yeah, he's lost a lot of them recently, for exactly that type of behavior. He's gotten a bit too big for his britches.

I'm thinking the issue with the photo was that it appears that lugnut took the photo from easywdw.com and saved it to his (lugnut's) photobucket account instead of linking to Josh's site itself, originally.

I noticed when I was trying to find that photo to see details on it that it was from a private photo album and didn't link me to easywdw. I found a couple like that and I can see where he might have issues with it being done that way.

I was trying to be polite :)

We'll see if his sense of content ownership is mutual. Don't "steal" his pictures but don't take pictures of my family and post it on your commercial website.

Not a lawyer, but I think legally if you're out in public anyone can take your picture and use it as long as they aren't making money off of it.
