Fastpass Enforcement coming?

I only made it to page 100 where it appeared that the thread was starting over, so maybe I missed someone else say this. Either way, I figured I'd add this to the discussion.

During New Year's week, we were in Studios and heard one of the Streetmosphere acts (the Policemen who set up in the middle of the street and give touring tips) advise people to use late passes.

There was no interpretation involved. They said "use the pass whenever it is convenient for you to do so. You are allowed to use them any time after the time printed up until the closing of the park." They repeated that a few times. I find it hard to believe park management doesn't know what the rough outline of their script includes

:lmao:
It's a tenet or principle, commonly employed by Morales, to provide support for an idea or concept.

Usually I just skip over the grammar and spelling errors. This is a message board, not someone's thesis. If I see the same thing over and over, however, I just can't resist; is that wrong?
Thanks!

Also........I know this thread is about the new FP system, but I just returned from AK. I was solo today as DH is golfing. I had a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari between 1:30 & 2:30. I returned about 2:15.

The line just to hand off my FP to the CM at the entrance went back into the Pangani Exploration Trail. It was well past the stroller parking exit area. My guess is there was between 100-200 people that would have been in front of me.

There was a 90 minute wait in the SB line. I chose not to ride, left & threw away my FP. I've never seen it like that at any time. Not sure if they gave out to many FP's or what but it was crazy!

Hope they can handle the crowds when the new system is put in to place.

You're confused. That was the ACTUAL Fastpass Police we have heard so much about on this thread. They were trying to set you up. DON'T TAKE THE BAIT!

I am going to attempt something here. . .

All you late fast pass users are probably the same people who just use your 2001 refillable mugs with impunity, including attempting to jump the counters at park QS diners and fill them up there while walking your heely wearing kids back and forth through the queues as many times as you want because you are going to be late pool hopping, which is why you parked at a monorail resort in the first place.

And all you Disney KGB officers out there who insist that you are channeling the almighty Walt himself in order to tell everyone else what the policy is (I know the irony, but as I have always said, to me, it's a semantic thing) while at the same time grabbing everyone that is in a wheelchair, ECV or hospital bed and shaking them to see whether or not they are faking it in order to get a GAC pass to get to the front of the line while holding 14.2 acres of prime parade/firework viewing spots for your mother, kids, housekeeper and college roomates pet gila monster.

There, I think I managed to insult everyone, and create two of the greatest run-on sentences in DIS board history.

Larry, your song was good, but your meter stunk.

Now, let's wrap this up because this thread is eating bandwidth and making my computer slow everytime I view it.

My fast pass return time, always ends up being during my ADR :headache:

I love being on time for things. But when my fast pass return window is the same as my dining reservation time... I wouldn't no how to work the system if the fast pass return windows were enforced?

In case you are serious, then you just wouldn't take the Fast Pass. You would either get in the stand-by line, or ride another ride and come back for a later Fast Pass. Easy Peasey.

Yeah right, like you don't know that telling time is a special skill.:confused3

Question: Did you "personally" feel the way Wadecool described in earlier posts? Thanks. :)

I was rather confused by the question, as I'm not sure what Wadecool had said in earlier posts, but if anyone thinks I'm upset about anything said in this thread, or the stances of people, I am most definitely not. Now, if I should have been, then I obviously missed something, and I don't have the time to go back and look. :)

If I'm not responding, it is because I am no longer choosing to respond in the circular arguments. I'm not longer on my staycation, and now have twice as much to do. :) And I still have to plan for my next trip...quite a bit behind on that...

Oh, you should go back and read it! You've missed so much; this thread, like all FP threads, has reached maturity by going through the various stages of:
1. Disbelief
2. Anger
3. Blaming
4. Cajoling
5. Bargaining
6. Definitions
7. Morales
8. Animal house
9. Star Wars
10. Poetry
And finally......
Acceptance

:lmao:

When is the 3 o'clock parade again?

Do you want what's printed in the brochure or what's listed on "the Hub" :lmao::rotfl::confused3

Thanks for your response and for being honest. I hope you get all your planning done! I hope to get all of our planning done soon, it seems more stressful this year, maybe I just have to adjust to the changes. :)

I was told you can return any time after 3...:rolleyes1

Thanks for the update! This is just one of my concerns with the enforcement of FP's because every single time we arrived before our return time, there were lots of people crowded in front of the FP line waiting to go in. Whenever we returned late, the que(s) were basically empty. I can't believe it's that busy. :)

I think there's a very good chance that's why Disney is doing this...to spread out the use of fastpass and prevent them from being sold out so quickly to people who are simply hording them.
Great post! I totally agree with this. I truly believe (hope) Disney will add more FP's by offering ride windows extending into the evening until park close, even during evening EMH, which would be awesome. I'm so tired of seeing the FP cue(s) completely empty at night while there's a line for standby, it makes no sense. During one EMH evening, we stood in line for Peter Pan for over an hour and there was no one in the FP line. :)

Disney's annual stockholders meeting is next month, a week after the late FP enforcement starts, everyone is anxious to see what (if any) announcements will be made especially in regards to XPass. :yay: :)

I always thought that this was a big waste of resources also. This happens quite often on Soarin toward the end of the night. FP que will be empty.

I also am interested in hearing about this so called XPass. Seems to be a lot of rumors that it's coming yet no one has any concrete information of what it will entail or when it will be launched.

I'm a bit confused, honestly. I thought the Fastpass queue was chock full of late FP users at the end of the day? I mean, isn't that what was discussed for about 120 of the pages in this thread?

How late would you issue Fastpasses for? They issue them up for up to the hour before close. To issue any later, you are reducing the return window for anyone to use. If the rate stays the same, then you are concentrating more people into a shorter amount of time, and you are causing the very problem that people have been complaining about - a lot of people getting in to the FP line at the end of the night. And then you are causing the standby line to still stagnate. Remember - if the FP users came out of that standby line, they'd still be virtually in that line - and it would still be a 60 minute wait. Plus, Disney would likely want to drain that standby line sooner than later so CMs can finish up and get off the clock.

As for EMH, as it is a separate beast only available to on-site resort guests, they do things a bit differently. Sometimes they use FP, but they will not issue FPs for an EMH window during regular park hours, so as to not confuse the guests not staying for EMH. They will start issuing them after EMH begins. Often they don't use it at all though. It requires additional CMs to manage the FP line, and there can only be so many issued in the 3 hours of EMH anyways.

I too am perplexed by the above 2 quotes. Isn't that famous late-day backup in the FP queue what all this hubub is supposedly about???????? :rolleyes1

Obviously, you're mistaken. It was about policy, rules and theory, not something that actually occurred. :)
