Fastpass Enforcement coming?

As long as you don't mind having to get a FastPass to get a FastPass, because if you have to wait for the average theme-park goer to (a) figure out how to use the touchscreen, and (b) actually make a choice as to what time they want their FPs for, it'll be five minutes or so PER PERSON in line ahead of you.

Sadly true. Many cannot operate a folded park map.

Interesting non-answer.

I'm not trying to analyze you. I'm trying to back your flimsy argument into a corner by coming up with the closest analogue I can think of.

Silly man. Trying to inject some common sense into the debate. What were you thinking???

I can go either way on this issue.. My main concern is having to drag my 3 young kids across the park multiple times a day to get on a ride... They already are tired of walking and if the window starts to get enforced it will make a long day, much much longer....

Silly guest -- that's what triple-wide strollers are for...

I would love to but you know those chickens take way too much of my time. There are still a lot of unjustice I, a highly moral person would love to fix...

Such as scofflaws and reprobates shopping in the park after close and who--egads!--intended to do so all along?!

I see your non-answer and raise you a rephrased, baiting question.

This has been brought up before. I think the main reason is simply the cost and research to implement it (all new machines, etc) and maintain a database for it, etc.

They would also have to deal with a longer time each person is at the kiosk due to interacting with the screen, deciding, etc...as opposed to the quick method of just getting a ticket in a few seconds and walking away.

Agreed. This is, essentially, what xPASS is doing. But rather than having to add complexity of the equipment at the kiosks (and the dwell time people will have trying to make their selections, etc., creating longer lines for the FP kiosks), they are pushing it out to customer-owned equipment by making it a web page (and probably integrated into the Mobile Magic app as well).

Although on paper doing it at the kiosks seems like a great idea, there's just too much to deal with. Sometimes people can't even figure out how to put the ticket in the slot...

I would not suggest it now, prices on chickens jumped up... maybe virgins ;)

If you think the price on chickens has gone up...

So what kind of fish you see me as, goldfish, perrana or maybe mermaid?:rolleyes1

Not according to a major on-line thesaurus...

http://thesaurus.com/browse/policy

The words are synonymous.

It means they mean the same thing.

maybe in some context but not at Disney, Policy is published for all to see on the Disney World site. Operational guidelines are shared internally and not published for all to see.

There is no where that it was stated in print for the general public to see that one could come back at any time, if so please share. I will gladly say I was wrong.

The printed policy on Disneyworld.com even states to make sure this time will work for you. So getting Fastpass is not always going to work for everyone.

Where can I find this policy/guidelines distinguishment on the Disney site? Is it officially published in the guidelines section?

On another note, does anyone else on the pro-enforcement side want to take a stab at the after-park-close example I gave? Doesn't appear I'll get even a nibble from the other poster.... Tell me why it's not a good comparison, tell me why you think it's different (or not), whatever....

Are you ever in the parks after close? Do you plan your day so that you defer say, shopping time, until after park close because you know Disney allows it--even though you can't find anything official or all-policy-looking that says that? If not, how do you feel about those that do?

The only time I do this is when I've used all my late FP's collected from the morning, or I'm finished riding Soarin, TSM, or any of the MK Mtns because I made it into line 5 minutes before the park closed to start EMH's.

Then I'll shop before I head over to my Holiday Inn Express popcorn::

One thing is for certain, this new policy is going to add A LOT more walking in my touring plans. Say I want to get a FP for Soarin and the reurn time is in 3 hours. So we start on the World Showcase and have to leave to get back to Soarin halfway through? Then go back and finish the World Showcase? I think by that time we'd be too pooped to go back and complete the WS.

For smaller parks like DHS it won't be too bad but I see my AK and EP days will be nightmares!

Also, for those of you who say just wait for the right FP return time...what do you mean? I mean, if you enter MK and go to JC and get a FP for say an hour and a half later return and then ride PoC and then you probably couldn't ride Splash and make the return but maybe BTM, then say the Splash return time is in 2 hours, but you'll be eating at that time, so do you stand by the FP machine and wait? Or do you go ride something in FL and then come back? I am having a hard time figuring out how you "wait" for a good return time without wasting your day away?

In best Kurtz voice: "The horror! The horror!" :scared1: ;)
